Complex plates need a buff in hp to have a greater gain from the advanced but to keep it balanced increase the fitting cost , This would be a nice way for heavies to use up essesive fittings that the suit has as well as make it harder for ligher frames to tank as much hp, plates should scale up in hp more similar to shield extenders but cost more fittings

Considering armour has already been changed recently and is still superior to shield mods, increasing HP on complex is a bad idea. Even if you increase fitting costs, plenty of my suits have CPU/PG to spare. We need shield tank to be as viable as armour before anymore changes are introduced. |

and make heavies defently impossible to kill?
umm no.
the gallente sential can achiev 1000+ armour at basic and the amarr sentinel around the 850-900 mark.
increasing complex plates would bring too high an imbalance not only to heavies but any suit rocking complex plates (looking at you brick tanked scout). so no just leave the complex armour plates..actually armour plates as a whole where they are.

Yeah sadly with the way things are shields have to be reworked first before we look at fixing armor anymore.
Even though shield users will still cry that their shielding can not tank as much as armor. (which surprisingly was a problem in the very early days of dust)

Shields - SHEILDS need a buff, why can't they have similar increases like Armour?
Basic - 65 Enhanced 85 Proto 135 (I think?)
same for shields as opposed to Basic - 22!? Advanced - 40something Proto - 60..

It's not comparable but bear in mind armor doesn't self recharge. While armor has more sources of regeneration, shields can't have comparable hp.

I have seen gal logi's with close to 1000 and just think they get(i think ->)three highs to fiddle with too, but they have one more low than the sent. ,
if the complex plate cost More fittings and gave more hp it would help balance tanking and make wearing them more of a commitment to hp than other things like dmg or equipment
to stay even with shields you could raise complex equally or something similar

Like somebody said before: 1) Shields are self-recharging, 2) Shields are not made for tank, 3) Shields don't have move penalty, 4) Armor plates are made for tank, 5) Armor plates got move penalty,
Everybody got choice, You can play shield type class wich is fast, low ehp or You can play armor class, slow but stuffed with ehp. It will be way OP if shielders get same ehp amount as armored ones. If it goes Your way armor shouldn't have any penalty at all. |

Shield modules should be % based instead of HP based. This would make shield tanking viable on shield based suits and make dual tanking much more difficult.

What I remember from Replication through codex was that no one used armor because being slowed down sucked and repair stuff sucked to use to regen. I think it was just that shields were super mobile especially on the Type II suits which had equal health to the Type I but was just faster and shield heavier. Also regen stats were much higher back then if I remember....

I armor tank only.
Armor plates are fine as they are (only change i would do is make reactive plates rep 1-2-3 hp/s at std/adv/pro level).
Basic and advanced shield extenders will be buffed in hotfix beta. |

While a complex armour plate buff would aid some of my suits greatly (they even have resources to spare for an CPU/PG increase), I am against it.
My G/1-series Gal Sentinel can pop on three Complex plates and get ~1100 armour, and have ample room to spare for everything else. Increasing both HP and CPU/PG would only mean that I have to either: downgrade weapons; sacrifice a grenade; sacrifice the high slot; or perhaps mix and match the previous. Although I may have had to sacrifice in some relatively insignificant way, I gain quite a bit more HP for which my innate resistances to protect.
Other smaller suits would benefit less than the heavy, due to more limited resources, so they'd have to sacrifice more.
I think total armour HP values are fine. Some more tweaking in other aspects may be necessary, though.
I am a minotaur.

the std gal sentinal can only achieve 953 armor. so u are wrong about having of 1k there.
the adv can achieve 1102(some where around that.) but still super slow. and wont survive long with out a logi.
the proto gal heavies total tank ability. welll its just one complex plate higher with the same weaknesses.
but still if u were the 1st to engage the plate stacked heavy in his own optimal. shouldnt u also die once uve ran up right in front of his gun? which is fireing. directly at u.
though the next guy on the other hand. if uve managed to get any decent damage in the next guy will surely have a much better chance at winning.

I suggest you watch your mouth pleb, I have no need to create lies but I've been here long enough to see many idiot threads regarding shields and I will not bring sort through and find the post, especially for someone having a disrespectful tone.
