But all your hard work as CPM made this game sure fun and gave it a huge life span right? All your suggestions made sure this game dust 514 will be around for the 10 years to come as promised ... and it was in the game and communities best interest that all the CPM didn't step down in October when you were told development for dust was being stopped but to keep u the facade that it was to keep aurum sales up... Your a total scum bag any point you make is invalid for the record dust is boring it your friends that make it fun. Destiny is fun with of lying to yourself like we had to do with dust. LOL, destiny is fun without lying to yourself. Riiiiiiiiiiiight. So, if I was to ask you what's so special about Destiny - what would you say? "I FEEL LIKE ITS BETTER!" LOL :3 i could give u a list but frankley my fingers are a little tired from playing forum tag with you on a phone maybe pick a thread and stick to it and ill fill you in since your didnt get into the alpha yourself Lol I actually am in the Alpha. That's why I can say SECURELY - you're full of shyt. Lol
I am not who you think I am, only but just a dream.

Kotaku said Dust 514 fell short of its goals but was one of the more creative endeavours in the market breaking away from the getting old quick cash cows of COD and WoW clones.
Also people are already calling Destiny a borderlands clone which is rather disheartening as those games without other people typically get boring very fast.

IGN made Destiny sound very interesting.
As if you can group up with friends or strangers and venture out, or explore on your own. I am still very excited.

there is no venturing, that's pretty much false advertising.
Have fun playing with 2 - 3 other friends at once. A ps4 game, still out-classed by dust's social platform. Sad.

Well Kotaku is 1 outlet. Look at what other people are saying, or look at the amount of awards it got at E3... did DUST EVER win anything?
This is just an Alpha btw... let's see what Kotaku says about it after launch.

If the Beta is no change from alpha, then you would be correct.
Lets see how this pans out. If you still feel like it's going nowhere after Beta, jump ship and cancel pre-order.

It's the E3 demo, so it's Alpha in terms of content... I won't say it's Alpha technically, but Bungie can call it what they want and they'll be right lol
Destiny's PvP is the best thing on console to come this year, and I'm not seeing anything coming soon. CoD? BF Hardline? Legion? PS2?
There's nothing coming that beats Destiny's competitive "feel" to it. 6v6, medium health, private servers coming at launch (so I heard at least), and a developer that's actually worth a crap.

Just tired Destiny and so far a big 'Meh' from me. Nothing at all ground breaking and I've this sort of game play before in other games... just... MEH.
I'll hope Beta has something more or else this will be the biggest, over-hyped carbon copy of a game I've ever seen.

I'm not trying to defend Destiny...but what FPS (successful) game isn't a "carbon copy" of another?
Look at BF Hardline for example...it's BF4 reskined...BF in general is a big rehash and probably taking steps backward. CoD? lol...same engine for over a decade.
You think DUST is ground breaking? If you do...

It was already commented during the initial Alpha testing as to what would would be entailed for the Alpha and Beta tests. At some level the Alpha was restricted to figuring out bugs, glitches and persistent coding errors from what I understand. When those are addressed then its basically to ensure the servers can handle as much a live test as possible then any adjustments needed are made before launch.
The storyline, majority of the co-op play and competitive play were taken out. If the game were to be judged on Alpha versus the current state of Dust, the polish seems to be in Destiny's favor. I get the idea of people wanting to be "wowed" by an Alpha test but I also find it ironically funny that they feel they need to sample the whole game to make a decision at an Alpha test. Hate to wave the flag and say "it's an Alpha launch so don't panic" but really, it is being paraded as an Alpha test and nothing more now. If someone thinks a game is crappy because they fail to get a whole game experience versus a mini "guided tour" of the game for Alpha testing, then there isn't a game that will make them happy a tall. |

There are interesting points in what gets fixed between alpha's to launch. However in today's industry a what they refer to an alpha is technically what most of the pc gamers would call a beta. Take BF4's beta for example, a scale done so small that all the network issues still plaguing the game to even this DAY still are not resolved yet. Problems that never surfaced during the beta for most of the press reviewers. Right now there are quite a few people saying meh and are pointing fingers at the division as a mmo shooter done right.

Might be generic but I've had quite a lot of fun getting pummled in the Destiny alpha this weekend. Something I haven't experienced on Dust for months now. Should be interesting to see where both games go when Legion and Destiny both launch... I don't envisage Legion making any ripples at all but that's my opinion...
I hear voices all the time...
I just ignore them and keep on killing...

I honestly don't know what you're on about mate...
Are you talking about War Thunder?
Are you trying to point out the EVE / DUST connection? If so lol... that's just barely a concept atm as all people can do is call in a orb strike... ground breaking?
DUST ideas are ground breaking, but that's about it. Everything else screams mediocre at best.
I'm no fanboy of any game, as I'll bash a game for any short comings it'll have, but man people in here defend DUST to the death, even trying to say it's ground breaking and innovative. I wasn't aware that ideas / concepts = a finished product. If so Star Citizen is the best game ever in history of mankind.
In reality SC atm is just a concept, like DUST, except it's actually going places.

Also, try to remember IGN is mostly bought off. It's a company like any other that wants to grow and expand resources, advertising games in a positive light, especially from high end game designers like Bungie, is in there best interest.
I've stopped reading IGN's reviews, though. They score every game of certain genres the same mostly, it's absurd there level of bias in an objective review.
I remember they reviewed Tales of Xillia with the comment, "Too close to the other titles in gameplay, made it feel bland."
... so BF4, CoD, and Assasins creed drastically change each new game? Biased BS non-sense.
Terrible. IGN's only good as a news source and forums.
