PC is almost limitless. The potential for content means potential for more profit. PC is almost limitless, except the artificial limit that CCP themselves decide to set and they WILL set one. They've been holding EVE back for years graphically because they are worried some older machines won't be able to keep up and they will lose a chunk of their fanbase. Apparently somebody at CCP is too stupid to understand the concept behind a graphics slider.
Its not just a graphics slider it is the simple fact that you now have to create multiple assets for that type of tech. Assets used in Shader Model 2 are not down scalable to shader model 1 or before shader model 1. Also CCP has done cut offs before typically when the clients effected are about 1%
SM3 is next on the chopping block making DX11 compatible cards the new minimal requirement.

Watching all the little DUST fanboys whiteknight the game and CCP. fyi - Destiny sucks. Warframe does it all, but is actually innovative. Destiny is like FF:ARR - nothing special. But unlike FF:ARR who has a powerful branding - Destiny is just another crap FPS game that lies about it's MMO side. 4 people multiplayer MMO's ftw? LOLno.

Kotaku said Dust 514 fell short of its goals but was one of the more creative endeavours in the market breaking away from the getting old quick cash cows of COD and WoW clones.
Also people are already calling Destiny a borderlands clone which is rather disheartening as those games without other people typically get boring very fast.

The storyline, majority of the co-op play and competitive play were taken out. If the game were to be judged on Alpha versus the current state of Dust, the polish seems to be in Destiny's favor. I get the idea of people wanting to be "wowed" by an Alpha test but I also find it ironically funny that they feel they need to sample the whole game to make a decision at an Alpha test. Hate to wave the flag and say "it's an Alpha launch so don't panic" but really, it is being paraded as an Alpha test and nothing more now. If someone thinks a game is crappy because they fail to get a whole game experience versus a mini "guided tour" of the game for Alpha testing, then there isn't a game that will make them happy a tall.
There are interesting points in what gets fixed between alpha's to launch. However in today's industry a what they refer to an alpha is technically what most of the pc gamers would call a beta. Take BF4's beta for example, a scale done so small that all the network issues still plaguing the game to even this DAY still are not resolved yet. Problems that never surfaced during the beta for most of the press reviewers. Right now there are quite a few people saying meh and are pointing fingers at the division as a mmo shooter done right.
