If this is true (i have my doubts...) might it actually be a good thing? AR is supposed to be king of cqc but is dominated by cr. This might actually make it useful. |

Hmm, CCP did say they set the value for the stun locking to zero (0). There shouldn't be any slow down happening. Unless they CCP'd the whole thing up. Possible.

"stunlock" is a stupid hyperbolic term, like "overpowered" and "underpowered" anyway. Until we can figure out how to use measured constructive terminology that describes the 'pain' we feel then we will have a kind of conversation that causes developers to hammer-balance stuff into and out of irrelevance.
Don't over exagerate with your terminology. Were you really "locked' into place? No. Were you no longer extremely fast and able to move the width of a body inbetween shots of a RR effectively allowing you to dodge bullets? Maybe?
Stunlock is a stupid term.
You are not stunned as if unable to fire. You are not locked into place.
I like the term 'sloth' effect or 'damage fatigue' |

We could have changed every value to the AR value divided by the AR ROF times every weapons ROF to balance it out, but we didn't. We just put every value for every weapon to zero. There is, and I say it as certainly as I can, no way the AR is stunlocking.

It's not. There was an -EXTREME- difference in performance the day before Hotfix Alpha and the day of Hotfix Alpha. Players with good gun-game and proper strafe skills can easily wreck someone with an Assault Rifle, it's just too hard to hit a moving target without the stun lock, imo.
Not that it's a bad thing, just stating that I can absolutely confirm that there is a noticeable difference in it's performance and if anyone is having problems with stun-locking at this point, you're probably just really really really bad at strafing
EDIT: Sure you didn't just run out of stamina...?

The difference between anti shield high ROF weapon and an anti-armor high RoF weapon is probably that the anti shield weapon will feel better against a quick strafing shield based suit. These suits will be moving faster anyway and be taking less damage from similar RoF CRs and RRs. So when killed by ARs they'd rightly seem more effective. |

Only thing I noticed is that the AR now feels crazy good. The small damage buff did wonders for me. |

AR still needs a very small further buff if it is to be competitive with the Other Assault Rifles but it does feel much better.
