I actually do agree with this, because ambush should be like a standard team deathmatch mode, like in MAG(I dare not say CoD).
If you wanna spam tanks, LAV murder taxis, or dropshitting go over to domination or skirmish. Those game modes are cap 'n hold, so of course you'll need vehicles for better advantage of holding a point or two. |

Disagree, instead of putting a bandaid over the crappy spawning system and various other problems that ambush suffers by removing vehicles I would prefer it if they fixed ambush, I would love it to be like suppression from MAG having protected spawns and a central fighting area that isnt just one giant open field. It would also make sense from a reality aspect think about it this is supposedly a battle fought by ultra experienced immortals but instead of activating clones in a tactically viable location (uplinks aside we are talking "smart spawn" here) these veterans of countless fights (or their commanders) seemingly think spawning on their own in the middle of a giant group of reds or respawning 2 inches away from where you died infront of the tank that killed you is a great idea.
However this is just legion alpha testing going on here so we can ask for these things but we wont get them until legion comes out and more than likely they will be broken when CCP realizes that PC will make for a better looking and technically superior game but they still cant balance a FPS to save their lives.

I dont know how many times ive suggested/said this.
Ambush = No Vehicles. Ambush OMS = Vehicles.
Normal Ambush, and OMS with Turrets to harm vehicles. Done.
I will be the only player to Prototype every single god damn weapon before Dust dies. I swear to it.

In Suppression there were no vehicles..your point is invalid! ..Actually the vehicles were objects to hide behing with foliage growing from them.

Vehicles shouldnt be in ambush. For the simple reason being there is no need for them. All that happens in ambush is killing infantry and vehicles arent needed for that. |

Pereonally it doesnt bother me in the slightest. Its just the easiest fix that keeps both sides happy, whether both Ambush and Ambush OMS are seperated again or not.

Wow- clearly somebody didnt get the memo
..There used to be 4 game modes like this but CCP decided to put Amb and OMS together. This is fine, and this is not the issue. Its the freeking tanks in standard ambush!
Ok, scenario: -50 man ambush 'I will use my rail rifle, looks like an open map, ok, lets go' ..no tanks..'wow i used my rail rifle the whole game'
-50 man ambush 'I will use my rail rifle, looks like an open map, ok, lets go' ..'wow got 3 kills, o o TANK its killed me, damn blueberry picked me up, damn that TANK killed me AGAIN-ok getting my swarms and my buddies getting his forge, OH I couldnt set up properly and the TANK killed me again....oh game over already- that tank got 29 kills and I went 3/3'

I disagree. Maybe if they fix the spawning first, I get spawn killed all the time in bush so it really doesn't matter to me if there are tanks or not.

Disagree. Whine a bit more guys. The problem started when 1.8 dropped and CCP made vehicles cheaper so if you lost say a drop ship or 2 tanks it wasn't the end of the world. In addition when the update kicked in they became more effective for anyone to run say a militia tank while beforehand a tanker was more effective as they further spec into a skill such as dealing more damage, higher repair, shooting farther. Due to those changes from that update is was easier for anyone to spam the battlefield with vehicles because they didn't need to use SP to gain better abilities such as militia tanks with railguns. The system was fine but people complained and they did the vehicle update in 1.8 which caused the vehicle spam. And now people are still complaining. Deal with it. |

Well considering they nerfed vehicles to 2 in ambush, 99% of the time I can never call in a lav or dropship to traverse the larger maps anyway.
Signed - Remove ALL vehicles from Ambush.
Have Ambush OMS for vehicle play and increase numbers back to max for Ambush OMS. Give us the option to choose to play ambush OR Ambush OMS.
By the way I like it how its mainly only the perpetrators of ambush spawn farming with tanks that DON'T want vehicles removed. Says a lot about the game mode doesn't it. |
