When I read stunlock for some reason, I think about that weapon that they use that just slimes you and constrict your movements.

Yeah, its a buff to scouts, effectively, and a nerf to the HMG. It will mean that people can strafe through its shots more effectively. |

In one of the pre release builds (I think it was pre open beta because I don't remember hearing about/seeing it), hit detection was so bad and speed so high that incredibly fast scouts could weave through automatic gun fire without being hit.
This is one of the reasons scouts can't be faster, because apparently even with current hit detection speeds much over 11m/s would be game breaking.

There was a time where kincats increased strafe speeds as well (plus other things - mysteriously, RoF sometimes increased) and there were no stacking penalties, plus the base speed of scouts was higher.

Just felt like it drilled them into armour, with the slow being slightly noticable about 50% of what it was, on the shields, but once in armour dead, the over heat is about 1 whole second earlier than what it should be.

Long ago, in a place called Chromosome. Certain conditions being met, a Scout could zig-zag sprint headlong through an enemy's bullet stream, then blap him.
They called it "bullet weaving" ... Its why Scouts got nerfed into the ground for 10 months, and probably why Shotgun range is 5m instead of 10 or 15.

I used to run a B-series scout with active armour tanking, elbows of steel, and a breach shotgun. The famed 'elbows of steel' referred to the mysteriously high melee damage that the B-series did at the time. The breach shotgun could also splat people out to... 15m?

I never experienced it in the first place. Or maybe I just didn't notice? I should've noticed pre-1.8 because I was Minmatar...

I do't have proto minja, so my equipment cost is a downside for the lack of SP investment, but I have been working on this advanced Minmatar Scout for weeks and I think I cracked it.
My fault was two fold, I don't have LVL 5 Min scout, so fitting equipment on the advanced is like buying Helen Keller sunglasses, secondly, I was building the adv Minja (multiple fits, SG/SMG, ACR/SMG, ACR/NK, TacCR/SMG, TacCR/Flaylock) around the initial module, that being Complex Sheild Ext x3. It broke on every fitting by the time I got to dual damps, kin cats and damps, dual kin cats with variables of cloak or RE's. Every time it busted.
Here is the secret, start your Minmatar Scout builds with 2x Complex Sheild Ext, not 3. Fill tge extra high slot with Complex Precision and every fitting variable above, all at complex, works.
BOOM!
Now I work on getting the proto Minja so my advanced has more room to play with because of tge extra drop in cpu/pg usage of equipment, might even be anle to fit that 3rd Complex Sheild Ext. then.

Hi!. I'm pretty sure i was stunlocked yesterday twice. I think it was by ACR and HMG, but maybe it was the sprint bug that doesn't allow you to sprint full speed right away. I'll post again with more detail if i have a similar experience. |

You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.
