When I read stunlock for some reason, I think about that weapon that they use that just slimes you and constrict your movements.

Yeah, its a buff to scouts, effectively, and a nerf to the HMG. It will mean that people can strafe through its shots more effectively. |

Correct. It should be removed.

On the flip-side, attempts to "bullet weave" at high speed have proven unsuccessful. Tested under AR, CR and HMG fire. All remain capable of placing shots on target.
TL;DR: Win-Win. Stunlock is gone, but it still unsafe to rush head-long into enemy fire.

In one of the pre release builds (I think it was pre open beta because I don't remember hearing about/seeing it), hit detection was so bad and speed so high that incredibly fast scouts could weave through automatic gun fire without being hit.
This is one of the reasons scouts can't be faster, because apparently even with current hit detection speeds much over 11m/s would be game breaking.

There was a time where kincats increased strafe speeds as well (plus other things - mysteriously, RoF sometimes increased) and there were no stacking penalties, plus the base speed of scouts was higher.
So you could have scouts strafing faster than Minmatar scouts sprint today. Couple that with there being no aim assist and abysmal hit detection at the time and... well... Yeah.

Just felt like it drilled them into armour, with the slow being slightly noticable about 50% of what it was, on the shields, but once in armour dead, the over heat is about 1 whole second earlier than what it should be.

Long ago, in a place called Chromosome. Certain conditions being met, a Scout could zig-zag sprint headlong through an enemy's bullet stream, then blap him.
They called it "bullet weaving" ... Its why Scouts got nerfed into the ground for 10 months, and probably why Shotgun range is 5m instead of 10 or 15.
