As Sony's main F2P cross-platform game http://warthunder.com/en/news/634/current/
Sure as hell not the same genre as Dust, but I've played it myself and the quality might explain why the big switch to legion, rather than continuing to motorboat sony, happened.

Have gamers not learned to stop overhyping crap and especially stop posting "Dust Killers"? As if you can play only game at a time, lol.
Didn't you guys learn from Watch Dogs, Aliens: Colonial Marines and such? Wait till it comes out and see what's what. Stop overhyping crap that sounds mediocre as ever.

War Thunder simply took Dust's niche of sony's F2P game where PC and console players play together. Just being on PS4 by default would've caused sony to stop giving a **** about Dust.

No, F2P games are being welcomed to console gamers now. It's been going on for quite some time but MMORPGs, F2P and P2P are all new avenues being explored by consoles. Primarily the first two.
I would go on to say that they capitalized on Namco Bandai's decision to have Ace Combat Infinity on PS3. People were disappointed that it didn't come to PS4. Couple that with the F2P craze that console community just now getting attached to, they see a possible winning formula.
Quite interesting

WT is **** on PS4 though.............
EDIT: and no, not due to performance or graphics. I quite like the look of WT on PS4, and last time I checked, it's locked at 60 FPS (which is what I have, because 120 I find is odd looking in flight sims, but I turn it to 120 FPS for GF). The controls are horrible, and the UI is garbage.

Plus the UI is for carebears who don't use cockpit view.

I've heard good things about War Thunder and I'm downloading it now while I'm at work. I'm sure its not as complex as what CCP has failed to do with Dust, but at the same time it does point out to me that better developers can do things that CCP cannot because CCP is at its core a very poorly managed company that has been able to put out one game in 10 years and that game is modestly successful at best. A half million accounts is success by CCP standards but any other MMO would probably shut down with such low numbers.
Anyway, I think anyone but a CCP fanboy knows they are a joke when it comes to game developers and knows why.

Considering that the fighter on the front page is a propeller driven P-51 I think you might be confused as to the thunder expected about playing immortal mercenaries in space killing each other to lose money and need to buy aurum to survive. Specifically, there aren't any propellers in dust. Maybe on the beanie caps of the developers but I have yet to see such.
Different game at the most basic level.
On the PC front Sony has beaten them to project legion with planetside2. Amazing game, keyboard controls, will be on PS4, open world, multiple continents and you can actually run/sprint across the entire continent without having to wait for your stamina to recover. And you don't lose money playing the game. Vehicles are available if you have resources and can access a vehicle terminal. So no, you cannot drop a tank on top of a building.
For me the best thing is it is not connected to new eden, eve nor ccp.
As far as the PVE stuff there are already games that do that and aren't by a company that is known for harden the f*k up as the corporate video.

Gaijin isn't any better than CCP- they say the game is historically accurate, then make russian planes overpowered to the point of historical inaccuracy (believe it or not, gaijin is a russian company, not japanese)
You also can't really compare the complexity to Dust, as they're completely different games, with different goals in mind. War Thunder is a WWII/Korean War flight sim (now with tanks, eventually with ships), while Dust is a fantasy MMOFPS.

Sorry we don't play the same ****** game for years. If a promiscuous chick said to you to come over and then changed her mind, you would liken that to what happened with Dust 514. Kill that noise man. You're worst than a broken record. You have said that same post in a hundred different ways.
Sorry yall don't play the same game for years?
You kidding me right?
Assassin's Creed/Watch Dogs? But yall don't play the same game for years? Battlefield. Call of Duty. God of War series? Madden? GTA and GTA clones?
My post isn't about CCP/Dust and damn sure isn't about PC vs Console gamers. Refute the truth if you want, but console gamers always want content and they always want the same damn thing. Any change to the formula and you will find a bunch of keyboard revolutionists making petitions to change that and seek death upon a developing company.
That's not a negative comment or a slight. Its the way it is. Console gamers hate change.

Console gamers are constantly hungry. If you don't feed them, they become rabid and unstable I think the same could be said about PC gamers too with graphic cards , upgrades and such and now with a lot of cross platform from console to PC games coming out .
I think PC gamers are more hungry given the fact that console gamers have a larger variety to choose from .
You would think that CCP would have given the infantry refund that should have been in 1.8.

While Warthunder is barely being released to NA servers, it has been available to EUR accounts since ps4 launch i believe... or a few months back. Many of my NA buddies created eur accounts with the sole purpose of downloading the game. It is fun and deserves the overhyping, especially now that ground forces are being introduced, not just planes but tanks too.

This just isn't true .
When you look at forums from other games or see comments from gamers on a particular game , they are upset at rehashing and more or less , it's the rinse and repeat cycle that we as console gamers are forced to deal with , it's like too much too soon is too bad for business so they marginalize the games as to rinse and repeat the process for profit .
That's jus the way it is for most in the console world but what can one do unless the open up their own business , but how many true gamers can do that and become successful ?
Most of the producers do just that for the revenue and could care less about their product or what they produce .
That's why you get rehashed games with a few changes .
If real gamers produced games then you would see the passion in their work and it's why only so few companies that create games can prosper for more than twenty years .
Console gamers love change and notice the little things that are a part of a game and it's universe but what options do they really have when the same companies have a stranglehold on the market and few are producing good games to begin with .

That doesn't constitute as a reason why to overhype it. Because in reality, games that are often overhyped do not reach the astronomical expectations that were held for it. In other words, it crushes due under the overhype weight.

My point is still valid. Propellers ain't so good in space. ;-)
I don't really care about the age of the games. PS2 is built on PS1 (from what little I know about the first one). Dust was built on sand and falsehoods. I loved dust and the promises but am not so much into being lied to. And even the developers say the game isn't good. At least we agree on something.
If I wanted to fly prop planes then I suspect I would not have gotten into dust. Buy, enjoy what you like. Lately, PS2 scratches the itch better than dust. Didn't play 15 games between two characters during the sp event. Not worth the time. Friends weren't on PSN, didn't bother to even start dust except once. That was only for a few matches.
Nobody at CCP cares because we ain't Legionnaires.
