Considering that the fighter on the front page is a propeller driven P-51 I think you might be confused as to the thunder expected about playing immortal mercenaries in space killing each other to lose money and need to buy aurum to survive. Specifically, there aren't any propellers in dust. Maybe on the beanie caps of the developers but I have yet to see such.
Different game at the most basic level.
On the PC front Sony has beaten them to project legion with planetside2. Amazing game, keyboard controls, will be on PS4, open world, multiple continents and you can actually run/sprint across the entire continent without having to wait for your stamina to recover. And you don't lose money playing the game. Vehicles are available if you have resources and can access a vehicle terminal. So no, you cannot drop a tank on top of a building.
For me the best thing is it is not connected to new eden, eve nor ccp.
As far as the PVE stuff there are already games that do that and aren't by a company that is known for harden the f*k up as the corporate video.

My point is still valid. Propellers ain't so good in space. ;-)
I don't really care about the age of the games. PS2 is built on PS1 (from what little I know about the first one). Dust was built on sand and falsehoods. I loved dust and the promises but am not so much into being lied to. And even the developers say the game isn't good. At least we agree on something.
If I wanted to fly prop planes then I suspect I would not have gotten into dust. Buy, enjoy what you like. Lately, PS2 scratches the itch better than dust. Didn't play 15 games between two characters during the sp event. Not worth the time. Friends weren't on PSN, didn't bother to even start dust except once. That was only for a few matches.

Console gamers are constantly hungry. If you don't feed them, they become rabid and unstable Seems like the definition of the modern gamer. Why limit it to your prejudices? I have heard the same complaints from the PC gamers about the same titles. It is the game, not the platform that creates the rabid atmosphere. Just bring up WoW and how long it takes to get new content. That lasts for a month. Maybe.
I don't think PS2 sucks. I find it quite fun to join a battle, fight it for ~2 hours and never have to wait in the war barge to listen to aurum commercials. Not to mention checking the battle results after being on for a little while and seeing that you are 84th on your side.
