Any time there are changes to the game, it is only fair to provide the players a full respec. When offensive and defensive attributes change, it may potentially alter how a player wishes to build a character. Not providing a respec leaves people playing catch up for the next many moons.

If you check out my dropsuits, you will find that I am definitely not a FOTM player.
Just read the forums; many people quit after their favorite gear gets nerfed. The community is dwindling as it is. Instead of losing even more players, provide them a fresh start after the hotfix, to avoid people regretting that they spent so much SP in a skill only to have the benefits reduced/removed.

I demand a full respec! My days are numbered........ My TRUE destiny awaits!! I wont be thrown to the side like some unwanted garbage. My "choices' wont be stomped into the ground every month. To be honest I don't even think a full repec will change my mind. LAG LAG LAG! 10 steps forward, 100 back. UNACCEPTABLE! 55mill sp....... I don't 'need' a respec.

Welcome to DUST where the choices you make have weight... They just simply can't be reset because of balance tweaks or you don't like them anymore.

It's like purchasing a porche and then you walk out into your garage in a week and find a Toyota Corolla. The decisions we make are based on a concept of permanence. The "tweaks" are debilitating to the point of making all prior decisions completely moot.
You must not understand decision trees, causality, chaos and other related topics. Tampering even slightly with initial conditions can have a huge impact on the outcome of a match. A respec is in order when ANY tweak is applied.

I've stuck with Gallente equipment through and through and it has honestly lead to the demise of me no longer playing this game.
If there in fact is little to know Dust character transaction to Legion then I whole heartedly agree on respecs.
Its one thing to have a a weapon nerfed and then fixed, you can wait on that.
it's another to have a weapon nerfed and not looked at for half a year or not at all, that's a different story that lies more on the fault of their incompetence.
If there is going to be a worthy transition of the skills themselves we'd probably already get a "respec" in legion due to major changes....or lack thereof.
It was nice knowing you guys.
But I'm done with DUST. So long guys, it's been an interesting Journey.

I'd love that 4 or 5 Million back I sunk into that skill branch. ScP still works fine, but not well enough for that kind of investment.
You know, because everyone was up in arms about the ScP.  I remember those guys that would spam dual ScPs all the time.... completely ruin everything. So, OP. Just a bunch of scrubs using the best OP tactics to win. No skill at all. SCP = I win no skill scrub.
SCP 514, you guys remember we would all say that?

Choices in a game that was much limited than it is now and where factors that had influence , just do not because of the directional change that the game has made during 1.8 .
The choices were to compete or not ... to survive and be effective or plan ahead for rumors of something like full racial vehicles and drones , only to suffer because of that .
Limited selection that transforms and given the circumstances , change to an upgrade ... where there is a greater selection and the flow dictates freedom to change , then change is warranted and should become appropriate .

I disagree.... Every time there's changes people just have to adapt...... I think a respect every year is good but that probably won't happen now.....

I just can not understand why those who are saying no are just doing that .
What do you have to loose ...???... the advantage that you believe that you have ?
What are you afraid of ..??.. the change in tempo like the game and the fact that now most will be able to compete ???
If the game changes then those who play should be able to do the same and that true adaptation and if they complain after that then it's to no fault of yours because , as a company you listened to your community and gave them what they wanted .
That's the only reason that I can see people saying no , is because now they want to be the " top dog " and care to keep those who they feel inferior in that position , afraid of the fact that ... there might be some that know what they want to do and what they would do afterwards .
I mean the game is ending in a matter of months regardless of rumors and it should be in the companies best interest to keep the community happy .. given the last PR blunder or was it a blunder and CCP is just that arrogant as a company that they feel like they can do whatever they want to their consumers because of the hold of their product ?
How anyone in the community , would not back .. at least an infantry refund ( something that should have happened ) is beyond me and proves their counterproductive nature among the same .
Should have been a part of 1.8 .

You kidding right ?
You will see a lot more variety , those who were using gal scouts as light infantry ... will now become infantry because they have no choice ... they can't play scout because real scouts will eat them alive and you wouldn't see the bulk of matches being played by heavies and scouts , hell you might see more logi's now ... I know I would skill into Caldari logi's and hives off the top .
I love to play heavy but I'm a logi at heart .

Considering that Dust 514 doesnt have Respecs as a push button thing, the amount of work required for it is similar to hotfix alpha.
