Getting a PC for a game that may never even be released is pointless. And even if it is there is no gauranttee that it will have everything they are promising to put into it. Remember they made the same promises with dust to get people to play that and they didnt keep them now they are making those promises for Legion and im willing to bet they wont keep those promises either. In conclusion if you get a PC now before ever finding out if they actually are releasing the game for PC and before they even put anything in the game they promised then you might as well eat your wallet now. Also they are using a modified version of UE3 not UE4 so i doubt the game will be/run any better than Dust regardless of the system.

Dust won't run on a PC, and Legion won't be released any time soon, if ever (just look at the fate of all other games/projects they've been working on since they launched EVE). If they break the trend and actually release Legion, my guess is it will run poorly on your, by then very outdated, build. To be honest, you can build a very solid PC right now for roughly $800 (using your current TV as a monitor if you're too cheap to actually buy another monitor). It will last you... You are a disgrace to the human race if you really believe everyone out there can simply "get a job" Not everyone can work (example: they are on dissability and disability only allows you to earn so much before they start deducting from your monthly check) Discriminating pieces of garbage like you should be shot, castrated, shot again, skinned alive, tarred and feathered, shot again, put into a wood chipper, then set on fire.

Thats a matter of opinion. What if I like dota2 and hate GTA?
It boils down to what you like to play. |

Funny thing is, this is EXACTLY the same argument most against Legion, and PC fps in general, use. We don't like FPS on PC, which means that any amount of depth, meta, co-op, video quality, etc increases do not matter to us. It will still be shite in our eyes because it isn't on a console because that's what we signed up for. Thank you for validating my position...but his, not so much. |

Henchmen21 wrote:Time it right as the new gen stuff comes out and grab the previous gen hardware for much cheaper. Shop around and get deals when things go on sale. Do it right the first time and you won't need to upgrade significantly for years and years. The only thing I've added in the last 3 years is a second video card once the prices on them dropped. Things like cases, power supplies and monitors all carry over on most major upgrades so it's not like your building a new computer every few years. Whatever you do don't buy a pre-built one from anywhere, do it yourself and save yourself a bundle.
I'm still using a computer that cost around 600 bucks after various deals on Newegg, and it's very future proof, and it was made in 2011! With my GTX 570, which still hasn't found a game to fully utilize it (besides star citizen, later), it's the best investment, and I guarantee it will play anything the PS4 can play, except at true 1080p.
For 200 more dollars than a PS4, you can make a PC like mine that I use for EVERYTHING. You can't have 3 monitors with Netflix on one montior, a game on another monitor, and forums on the third monitor, without having to convert to the PC gaming aspect.
I love seeing people argue against PC, but honestly, I've seen my fair share of these threads, and there are more positive arguments than negative when it comes to getting a gaming PC, especially since a lot of newer console games are taking out the co-op play, which is my only reason I use one with (everything is better on PC if you are by yourself). Plus, LAN parties with computers are a must for everyone to enjoy before they die. |

On Steam alone I have 60 games all playable I build a new machine I keep my Hard Drives ( data on them as well) I use the same case Antec Nine hundred 2 Ver 3 I use the same Ram Corsair 1600 8GB Use the same DVD drive idk its a cheap 52x dvdr drive (IBM i think) all 60 of those games run on this new PC I just did a new build my total cost was $365 (I5 4670K and Z87 G45) thats less than a PS4 or Xbone I'm mainly putting this here for the people who are saying a gaming PC is too expensive EDIT those 60 are not counting the F2P games
Two flaws: one your system is still severely over priced [because if you were REALLY being a budget PC builder you should be able to build a system all under $500 and still play current games] and, secondly, saying you have 60 games on steam is nice and dandy as they often give some pretty crappy games for free as well but at least I've gotten 10+ triple-A titles on Sony for $35 and these were games I intended to buy that Steam would NEVER give away for free.
It's a reason why people play consoles because sometimes gaming on it is cheaper and you should either downgrade that processor to an AMD -FX and invest in a heftier graphics card or simply use the i5 solo as its internal on-die gpu is a bit beefier than a midline graphics card at times. An AMD build should be $350 w/out OS and an Intel build should be under $500 if your really making it a budget PC. |

I do use the Intel HD 4000 (built in graphics) on my laptop they play many console games well but my laptop was $760
the avergae spent on laptops is about $500 (average as in a lot of people buy a laptop for $350 some for $400 and some for $650)
