Legion will be a multiplayer sort of RPG style FPS set on the planets in new eden with skills, vehicles, corps and futuristic armour and a lot more stuff too. However it will be under a new (imo better) name, with fancier graphics but on a different platform.

Now for all we know, the changes, tweaks and additions could be so vast that it may almost be like playing a whole new game, but then again the differences between what we have today and the first closed beta is so vast it may as well be a totally different game. I like to think Legion being similar.

I know the CPM had been doing a lot of "don't save this until FanFest" and even some of the CSM members (I will say that is a bit of a sting that people that are heavily interested in a different game know about stuff that is coming to our game) were saying the same thing. I have been trying to get Saberwing to say if Legion = DUST but he kept ignoring that question. CCP is just too caught up with marketing PR nonsense speech to just come out and say it because they aren't willing to publicly admit they threw us under the bus. I like to think Legion being similar. True as it is, that is also what pisses me off the most, it is for all intensive purposes DUST, which in effect means the whole project legion, boils down to. We are sorry to say it but, we can't code for **** on the PS3, so we are taking the majority of the resouces from DUST (since it is still currently on the same engine) and developing using the same DEV UI, SDK and Command Kit a new game that the majority of our small bht die hard troop of Console Fans, can't enjoy a NEW BUILD of the game. The thing is, if they are using the same engine to currently develop legion tjere is no reason why they can't continue to develop for DUST and share the resources they create, they already did it with the weapon and suit models, we currently have. So why don't they say, we have a few more weapons planned for legion, but we will put a small dev team on adding them into DUST so you can "battle test" them for us? It's perfectly plausible to do, wouldn't require much man power. But instead all we have to look forward to is, a series of server side hotfixes for balancing weapons that will still likely be unbalanced in the end anyway. It's great that they are finally pulling there finger out and getting some work done on the FPS of new eden thing, but 1) Did they really have to do it this way 2) Ignore us for a few days afterwards, with nothing more than a prepared 3) did the dev's suddenly decide to get all aggressive and condescending 4) do they really have to leave the console players who have been here with them through thick and thin in the DUST? Looks like its back to FPS Military Shooter 56 Monkey Mac - Just another pile of discarded ashes on the battlefield!

CCP cannot declare legion as an expansion of dust or dust 2.0 because then they will be forced to transfer data from dust onto legion. By declaring legion a separate game, they dont need to worry about transferring isk, assets, SP, character history (KDR, WLR, etc). Well obviously, I already have a PC so it's easy for me to be excited, since it's very likely going to be free. So, nothing to lose for me, and I strongly believe that it's the best chance for "DUST" to live on in consoles as well.

You do realize at this point, that you're posting at a bunch of EVE players that have lived through this crap before? Its Incarna on a less shtty scale. You shrug your shoulders and wiat to see what they do game wise to fix it. So far, theyre batting like 5 for 5 on expansions after Incarna. Enjoys EVE, Still plays DUST, will play LEGION. stfu already.
