Can honestly say I prefer the controller.....
Please let us use controllers on legion.....do it for the original dusters....

Its a PC, of course you'll be able to use a controller, in fact you'll be able to use a wide variety of controllers.
XBOX, DS3, DS4, third party controllers... all sorts of gamepads will be supported. You'll have completely remapable keys as well I bet.

My little brother and I got bored and did a split control where he used the right side of the six-axis controller and I used my left hand on the keyboard (we didn't have a wireless mouse available). We ran a few doms and only used MLT starter fits.
We ended up with a positive KD (best was 2 with about 6 kills iirc) and consistently did better than half our team.
CCP, please buff blueberries.

I have a feeling that they won't restrict kbm on PC like they do on PS3.
It only makes sense they do it on consoles or else kbm has the advantage.
They will probably set it up so controllers can still be used on PC, but on PC FPS games, controllers are always a significant disadvantage.

IF I make the switch and their is controller support I will do like I do now controller for the spray and prey weapons(HMG), and mouse for the precision weapons(FG)

With gamepad support on Legion, they better up the sensitivity to a CoD level rather then the molasses of a max sensitivity we have on dust.

If I were you I'd give KB/M more of a chance. Trying it for a few minutes really isn't going to tell you anything. You need to play it for a while, adjust the sensitivity, and then play it for a while longer. The aiming is far superior with a mouse than a joystick, even with how finicky KB/M is on Dust.
The only thing I haven't quite figured out on the KB/M is how to issue squad orders, but that's mostly due to my laziness.
The biggest downside in using KB/M is turning a turret. With a joystick you can hold it down and it will keep turning. With a mouse you have to pick up, drag, pick up drag... I tend to use my Sixaxis to make long turns and the mouse to aim for that reason. With infantry there's no issue. |

The driver support, however, is an entirely different matter. Not to mention the issue of controller mapping not being custom made.
I can't imagine CCP crunching out dedicated control schemes for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 controllers. |

Practice with a KBM some more, once you are used to it youll see its far superior to a controller for a shooter and honestly if you take a controller into a PC shooter youll most likely get wrecked since mechanically its just better |

With a game pad you don't have to worry about carpal tunnel as much.

Just want to post here to give more support to controller support for Legion. If I go to Legion, I plan on using a controller. I don't care if I'm at a disadvantage. If it's really bad I'll just stick to PvE.
For me personally, this is important because of how I play games. It's not that I'm not good with KBM, but I like to play while relaxing on the couch. I don't want to sit at a desk or have some kind of table/thing on my lap, it just ruins gaming for me (at least for an FPS is does). |

I know, what I mean is I literally find it uncomfortable to use KBM. Plus, even with a wireless set (which I have), I'd still need some kind of surface to place it on, like an end table or something on my lap. In that case, it's no different than sitting at a desk to me. |

I just sit on the couch with k/b on my lap and mouse on a thick mat next to my leg, I use a wireless laser mouse as well. I guess because I'm so used to it that I'm fine with it.
