As stated up above. I've seen a couple of threads about it. Personally i think we should get a couple more Dust updates, nothing to big, like put in some ****** AI for us to shoot for fun. While the majority of the team like 70-90% of the team working on EvE Legion. And after about 6 months, move the entire Dust team onto EvE legion. I don't see the benefit to supporting a game that is destined to be ultimitly inferior to EvE legion. But keep the servers up until public beta please :)

Do you realize it's possible to invest time in more than one game?
I don't know if that's ever occurred to you, unless this is some console-only thing that I haven't been made aware of where you can only dedicate yourself to one game or face the wrath of a thousand neckbeards.

Dust isn't much a product and it has a distinctly short future ahead of it.
I agree, if it gets legion out to us even a couple months sooner I would be all for abandoning development on Dust altogether tbh.
Its a still a game with an active (albeit small) player base though. Until that changes they will, and should, support it.

Yes. They should just drop DUST and go at Legion 100%.
I would rather see Legion be up to speed in 6 months - 1 year than continue getting half-assed updates to DUST.

I have to disagree with you low genius, EvE legion is the game that we all wanted and dream of dust becoming. unlike DUST EvE legion isn't constrained by old tech, But i do think we have to be cautious and hope that CCP really listens and respects the Community more than in the past. |

I'd like to think the bug fixes wouldn't take that much time, then again, look at how many outstanding issues they have left from 1.8 alone.
As to pulling all resources, if they'd act like a PS4 port was a priority, then sure, get that game done on PC, and actually get a port back to consoles, you know, the new market you were trying to grab, not the same market you already have...
As CCP won't do that, then no, I want this to burn nice and slow.

My ideal workload split would be 100% Dust/0% Legion.
Failing that 0% Dust/0% Legion and with the money saved they can compensate everyone conned into buying boosters for a game they'd secretly already abandoned. |

personally i think it was way too soon for them to pull the plug on dust when legion is a year away at the most optimistic. players will simply go elsewhere |

Ryme, I believe that if CCP abandoned the idea of Boots on the ground they would have just canceled dust and never had developed the EvE legion prototype. But time will tell... |

They didn't "pull the plug on Dust", they were going to keep the servers up as long as enough people were playing on them. Sure, they said they would stop updating if EVE: Legion went ahead, but let's be honest, 2015 was the last year of the PS3, so if they spent all their resources on the PS3 version until then we would be left with nothing until they ported it to another platform.

Well yes, obviously they hoped Legion would work. I think they just thought the entire community would go over to Legion, and they'd basically have current playerbase+PC players. As it happens, they will only get a small part of the current community, and what they hoped would be a good news story has given them terrible press. So Legion is already falling short of expectations. |

True, but honestly I think the bad press isn't that bad right now, after all it will be a long time before Legion is released to the public, I don't believe that the press matters at this point. Legion is to early on to start promoting. Plus having a F2P game on PC will have a larger player base at the start because of the amount of EvE players coming onto it, so player counts don't really matter right now. |

Pretty much. Personally I hope it blows the f*ck up in their faces even worse than it already has, but objectively there's really no point in devoting any time to Dust, they already killed it.
