Please don't post rage against EvE legion, there is no point, besides spamming hatred at a hopefully beneficial discussion. basically what i see happening here is like EA putting a new battlefield out then after a few months saying " oh by the way you cant play on PlayStation/Xbox any more that last patch will shut the game down on ____ date every one has to play on pc now" or the same thing with cod those player bases would never stand for it so i don't see why we should have to (yes i know we share some of the same player base and yes i know they paid for the games but i have also paid into this like many others have) Actually it is more like EA announcing a new Battlefield game and that the previous one's servers would be shutting down in the future. Of course the playerbase would never stand for it, oh wait they regularly do. What did you really think would happen with any long term development plan for Dust? If they announced Dust on the PS4 then there would be a chunk of the community complaining that they didn't want to have to buy a PS4. Instead they announced that it will, essentially, move to PC and we have a chunk of the community complaining that they don't want to have to buy a PC. I would like to see as many resources focused on Legion as possible but given the different engine and likely different technical requirements for working on a title for a PC platform I don't see why some of the team could not continue to work on balance patches and small new content for Dust for as long as people are willing to pay for Aurum to support them. There will likely be differences in team requirements between Dust and Legion that would allow for some unneeded team members to continue to work on Dust.
Wow, you're not very smart. Games like BF are not marketed as having 10 year plans and persistent universes. No one that does not have even less sense than you do considered it remotely possible that Dust would stay on the PS3 past this year.

The PS4 games in my sig are much better options then talking about a project from a company willing to scam its players. Do you realize it's possible to invest time in more than one game? I don't know if that's ever occurred to you, unless this is some console-only thing that I haven't been made aware of where you can only dedicate yourself to one game or face the wrath of a thousand neckbeards.
I plan to invest time in many games not made by CCP. The fact that you PC lot are willing to support CCP no matter what make you like a cult or something. The Cult of CCP. CCP has shown its total ineptness at game making and PR. Right now I think the only thing they are good at is making CGI trailers.
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

They have all the Dust Assets, probably all in high-resolution(scaled down for ps3), Its developed with UnrealED so apart from some platform optimizations everything they worked on for ps3 can easily be used on PC.. They could pretty much slightly modify and export Dust in WIndows format if they wanted, thats the Beauty of working with things like Unreal or Unity. All the experience and assets from Dust translates directly into what they are doing now, using the exact same tool and the exact same programming/scripting language, There is literally no difference when using unrealED whether the game you are making is for one platform or the other except for controls and optimization for hardware, basically everything that works in Dust will not have to be remade for Legion, including most of the coding.
Unreal engine was always horrible for ps3 and brilliant for pc, a future ps4 version would require very little modification since the ps4 is basically a pc, I was quite suprised when I heard they decided to go with Unreal for ps3 but figured they wanted to easily be able to release it for PC at some point.
Alot of development is microtesting and figuring out how to do things slighly better, once you figured it out it does not take as much time to recreate, they already know ALOT about what works and what does not from working on Dust, I predict Legion closed beta in 6 months.
Alot of things DID work with Dust, theres a reason us players are emotionally attached, it was not because Dust was without merit.
Legion = Dust 2.0
(Yes **** ccp and Rouge for being dishonest and naive and ******* up fanfest for alot of people, but thats a different issue, and its up to individual consumers whether they accept an apology, but it WAS time for Dust to move on.) |

You're just mad because it's not coming to platform you want and/or own. That's about as selfish and unreasonable as me throwing a tantrum if it were to be released on the PS4 instead of the PC.

I think they should take the team working on legion and work on Dust 514, PS4 edition. Then slowly migrate to that over the next year, then have a big content release on the PS4 with the market, PvE, 32 vs 32, and new game modes.

How's legion going to be looking when dust is a dead legacy on psn for the previous two years. I can see the press releases now when they will spend half the time explains why it's not like the failure of dust the other half telling you how it's just like dust. That is pretty much what they are doing, except on the way they are gonna set up a test server and have PC players beta test the game before launching a solid product back into the console market.

So you do know that 100% of what you just said is false right?
#1) Legion is not dust, as per CCP themselves. Really understand this, they are 100% completely separate games.
#2) CCP has said there are no plans to put Legion on PS4, and they have already killed Dust.

So what you're saying is that you want them to continue to the lobby shooter experience on the PS4, but with no interaction with EVE online right?
It's not hard to see that Legion and Dust cannot coexist in the greater scheme of EVE Universe. However, the might be enough of a console following who doesn't care about the EVE-Dust interaction to play a game that draws on the IP while remaining separate. Seems like there are a lot of better lobby shooter experiences out there though on the console.
They can't say the have any plans for a PS4 version of Legion, but at the round tables they clearly expressed intent to bring Legion to the PS4.
