I own an adequate PC, and I prefer to game on PC. I only own a PS3 because I wanted to play DUST. Now that crappy last-gen console can be retired to use as a Netflix box/Blu Ray player.... which is honestly the only thing that system is good for.

Exactly, because everything CCP does on PC turns into instant gold right. WoD, WiS, and Eve customization all have gone fantastically.

Your comparing a bad ending of a story to a company completely shutting down a game that its fans have supported loyally. there may have been certain times when we didnt like the conditions of certain OP things in the game, but we still stuck around through thick and thin. Bungie and Activision have never done that. as a matter of fact, they did the opposite and kept their fans going with sequels.

Yes, I am. Any game as epic as the Halo franchise WAS (until the dismal Halo 4 came out) should have just as epic an ending. Halo 3 started really strong and lost the will to live at the midpoint. It was a huge letdown. Reach was the only Halo game besides the first one that really "wow'd" me. A good ending makes all the difference in the world. Halo 3 had a terrible ending after a barely-tolerable last half.
And what would Bungie never do? Because that story about the Mac bait-and-swap was EXACTLY what happened. Marathon was a Mac game, and Halo was supposed to be, as well... but they sold out to Microsoft 2 months before original intended release and pulled the game back for port-over to XBox.

Because that story about the Mac bait-and-swap was EXACTLY what happened. Marathon was a Mac game, and Halo was supposed to be, as well... but they sold out to Microsoft 2 months before original intended release and pulled the game back for port-over to XBox.

I know you take these things for granted, but some of us count the pennies and save as much as we can for unforeseen circumstances and futures, so we don't like to blow all our cash away just because our gaming company ****** US OVER.
Or, I could do as you say buy a PC for a single game even though I have an iPad for all my PC needs, and enjoy having such amazing hard wear to play so many games that... are probably better then Legion.

Anything consoles do, PC can do better. Elder Scrolls is better on PC. Strategy games are better on PC. Online gaming is better on PC. PLUS you can use it to do schoolwork, taxes, pay bills, manage your bank account, and use the internet.

We're upset that we were kept in the dark. They could have easily told us that they were terrible at developing the game because they weren't focus on the game at all. Remember "laser focus?"
And still they promised us new things, took our feedback like it mattered. They tell us to buy boosters to all these events because they new the backlash if they had already told us that Dust was dead. That is downright evil, lie to your playerbase.
And lastly they had the audacity to let Dusters go to fanfest under the guise that they still actually cared. They even have the audacity to call events "Dust Events." That's a terrible thing to do to any customer.

Im a PC gamer. This is actually my first console FPS game. Mostly cause of the KB/M support. Though I did like the idea of cross platform, as I felt it would allow for a larger playerbase.
Anyway i just wanted to say that regardless of your preferred platform, the way CCP did this, the announcement, the whole package, ect. was wrong, and I support the console players in their outrage.
These are people who paid money thinking they were investing in a console based MMO FPS that would likely see light of day on the next generation console as well. Deceiving them and using them as lab mice is not something I support CCP for doing. Its reprehensible.
However, that being said, maybe everyone should just calm down before you say something that a few weeks from now, you will have regretted saying. |

This is probably the one time I feel people have the right to spazz out. CCP promised a long lasting game and people have spent money thinking they would settle down in the game for later. Now not only is the game being moved to a different platform, one that alienates a lot of players, but there is no guarantee transfer of any part of your established character to this new game.
So yeah. Take a second and look back on why people are pissy. I always try to do that and I can't even argue with them. I mean sure Legion more than likely will get to the PS4 but there's no talk about it and the way they're speaking, it's like Dust will be over before the PS4 version releases. Of course this is all speculation. *shrugs* They left us in an even more questionable state than before and that says a lot.

That's most likely because you came in demanding things, and expecting people to be able to just jump into a fight. Perhaps you got angry when you were begging for ISK in the corp channel and they told you to stop. You don't have the luxury of balking at buying a computer (and I refuse to believe he doesn't already frickin have one) when you admitted that you spent close to $1000 on in-game items (boosters or suits, vehicles, modules, and weapons.... doesn't matter.... you still bought Aurum)... especially when you consider that -for the last freaking time- OUR CHARACTERS, ASSETS, AURUM, AND ISK WILL TRANSFER TO LEGION!

That's all fine and dandy if you're a PC gamer, but we (as PS3 gamers) bought into a CONSOLE game, not a PC game! Is that so hard to understand? Also, note the wording... "applicable". For all we know, nothing apart from character names will be transfered.
EDIT: more information may clear up some of these uncertain issues, but as usual CCP are leaving us to dwell on assumptions, and as such this is the response they deserve. |

I never understood why anyone would have any animosity towards either a console or a PC. They are both just computers to me. One just happens to be bigger and more expensive than the other. We, as in who? There are many players (such as myself) who will miss players the players inable to join us in EVE: Legion, and there are many EVE: Online players who feel the same way as well.

Im glad it was though, I kind of enjoyed reading the thread having missed it first time around.
Maybe I missed something but I find it very very hard to believe the OP was a leader of men in the real armed forces. But, I always assumed Cat Merc was a girl until someone pooh-pooh'ed me on comms recently, so what do I know?
Also, Dust seems very much alive 6 weeks after the OP, does it not?
