I own an adequate PC, and I prefer to game on PC. I only own a PS3 because I wanted to play DUST. Now that crappy last-gen console can be retired to use as a Netflix box/Blu Ray player.... which is honestly the only thing that system is good for.

That's interesting you'd say that, because I've been an EVE player since 2003, and I've seen it do nothing but grow. I'm a PvP player, on the EVE side and I rather enjoy being part of an active corporation.

Yes, I am. Any game as epic as the Halo franchise WAS (until the dismal Halo 4 came out) should have just as epic an ending. We got two and a half minutes of a BS funeral for a character that wasn't even actually dead..... after a 6 month ad campaign promising us an epic battle ending with Master Chief's death.
The epic battle didn't happen... Master Chief survived by crappy storytelling and blatant use of the "plot armor" trope. The whole last half of the game was made-up-as-they-went, completely uninspired, and the final stage was a carbon-copy of the first game's.
Halo 3 started really strong and lost the will to live at the midpoint. It was a huge letdown. Reach was the only Halo game besides the first one that really "wow'd" me. A good ending makes all the difference in the world. Halo 3 had a terrible ending after a barely-tolerable last half.
And what would Bungie never do? Because that story about the Mac bait-and-swap was EXACTLY what happened. Marathon was a Mac game, and Halo was supposed to be, as well... but they sold out to Microsoft 2 months before original intended release and pulled the game back for port-over to XBox.

As for me, I have always thought Dust was a concept that was better suited for the PC universe rather than console. I was not surprised by their decision to do so and I even understand it. I only played Dust because of friends that were into the game. It's demise is not something I will lose any sleep over. Yet, I understand and empathize with folks that were devastated by their favorite hobby being taken away from them. It is called being human. You should try it sometime.
