Turning this into some kind of PC vs Console debate is completely ignoring not just how CCP has handled this current situation, but how they've handled Dust all along.
But apparently that's okay because "vision" and "what Dust was meant to be" and all that BS. How quickly everyone has forgotten that only a year ago, Dust was supposed to be their "vision". Since then, CCP has repeatedly dropped the ball, changed directions, added and removed, buffed and nerfed until Dust was no longer their vision, but a convoluted mess so far beyond repair that they'd rather just scrap it and start over than continue even trying to fixing it.
By their own words, Legion is still just a prototype, a concept that isn' t even in the Alpha stage yet, and yet people who, as little as a week ago, were criticizing CCP's ability to develop a AAA FPS at all are eating up the hype, and proudly waving the Legion banner. People who complained and criticized things like weapon balance, that have nothing at all to do with what platform the game is on.
Everything they've shown of Legion so far has been nothing more than a marketing ploy, carefully crafted to sucker us in, just like back when Dust was first announced. It looked pretty awesome too, at the time, but what CCP hyped and what they ultimately delivered ended up being two very different things.
What makes any of you think Legion will be any different?
Because PC? Please, don't be so nieve.
Maybe I'm wrong, though, maybe they've actually learned from Dust. Maybe THIS time will be different but, while it might be a different platform, it's still the same scrub developer at the helm.
I'm sorry, but a crappy driver is a still crappy driver, no matter what kind of car he's driving.

Just sayan. PS3 and XBox 360 consoles had many aspects of their hardware outdated by the time they were released, too. They still managed to produce games which looked as good as their PC equivalents after developers got used to creating games for the consoles, which took a couple of years. High-end PCs did end up overtaking them eventually, but there was a period where the console games looked better. Early in a console's lifespan, developers aren't pushing its limits. Later in a console's lifespan, they're either pushing them too hard (framerate problems and other glitches) or simply falling behind far enough to give PC the advantage again. |

Eh we all know that someone got shatfted in the process. Its like you never lived in a third world country OH WAIT you never did.
Corporate decisions would dictate to violate your asshole if they were allowed to, just for the fun of it.
I dont try to play apologist for CCP here, but seriously. If someone scams you from an industry you know is kept alive entirely by scammers you have noone but yourself to blame.

The few isk Dust 514 makes .... probably not even inoff to pay the electricity bill for the servers,
CCP choice makes perfect sense,
dust can't continue to be developed, they have maxxed out the PS3. the move wasn't a matter of choice. what was a choice was to lie to us for a year about being laser focused on ps3 dev when they full well knew they'd reached the limit of whats possible.

And people NEVER got the cell figured out, unless they came from a black hole research project. Google it, seriously.
And please dont confuse console exclusives with something that can only be done on consoles. The latter simply doesnt exist.

And please dont confuse console exclusives with something that can only be done on consoles. The latter simply doesnt exist. Console exclusives at the right point in the console's life cycle look and run better than comparable PC games released at the same time while those PC games are running on the hardware that was available at that time. Many of those games look and run better now than they did on release, and sometimes it's simply because they scale with upgrades to your PC, which the console doesn't have the option of doing.
The fact is that a console gives you a limited window of advantage over PC gamers, but for the most part, the advantage is in cost. A solid gaming PC will usually (not always) cost more than a console, and making sure it REMAINS a solid gaming PC will cost a LOT more than making sure your gaming console remains viable over the next 5 years. |

No. I wont even bother explaining why everything you said is wrong. Educate yourself.
