Sooo... Clearly people are pretty emotional about this whole CCP "replacing" Dust thing, but thats not quite what they're doing.
Instead of a simple replacement for Dust, or Dust 515 - we should be looking at Legion as an attempt to rebuild and rebrand the core Dust experience.
CCP isn't trying to screw us over by taking one game away while going "oh maybe you'll like this different one instead" - they're trying to deliver on the original promises Dust made, the promises that brought most of here to begin with. And it's not like Dust is going anywhere in the meantime.
So, I propose that we sit down and relax, crack open a cold beer, and once things have calmed down a bit - we continue shooting each other in the face, and watch to see where Legion ends up going.

I think legion is a great step in the right direction, getting away from the PS3 and more importantly, sony. So at the end of the day, the console life span is taken away, and legion might actually end up being a great game. Anyways, PC is masterrace, it'll be nice getting a new computer... |

As far as we know right now:
- It won't be on the system we were told it'd be on. (I.e. console, not specifically PS3)
- It won't have any crossover, AKA "Thanks for your time and money on this open beta, we'll now be making you start over on a completely new system."
All of the investment that people put forward, the time and the money, will now *possibly* pay off for another playerbase on another platform.
Oh, and I own a PC, so this isn't a "wah, I don't want to have to buy a computer."
Many of us put in hours and money for what DUST could be. Now we're finding out that DUST couldn't be anything more than a disappointing precurser to an entire other game.

Wrong, they were screwing people over for the last 4 months, and then they had the arrogance to throw it in peoples faces at fanfest right after people bought aur for omega boosters for 2 huge bonus sp events within the last month, all while inticing dusties to spend money on FF tickets.
Nah the stupidity and arrogance is overwhelming, they were also warned by cpm members and ignored it. |

Only fools would believe the fools over at CCP who said the PS3 could handle it. Truly, not even the kings of fools would have believed the CCP fools were laser focused on the foolish PS3 and had a foolish 10 year plan.

No. PC Only. Thank for the cash. We stop DUST as of now. Cheers.
They aren't making DUST a better game for US.

*snip* Many of us put in hours and money for what DUST could be. Now we're finding out that DUST couldn't be anything more than a disappointing precurser to an entire other game. 1. It won't be on PS3 (and to be perfectly honest, good) but it could still easily be on PS4, - Valkyrie is doing it and their team is only 25 strong
2. Not even remotely - while there won't be a 1:1 transfer between Dust and Legion, seeing as the relevant systems in Legion are both completely different and still in flux - there will be something
And finally, lets be honest here. Deep down we already knew that Dust would never be able to work on the PS3 - it might hurt to admit, but it's true (also, turn back the forums 24h - not so precious about either the PS3 or the game back then , were we?) |

but they're making those exact same promises that remain unfulfilled right now. dust is NOT what it should be right now.

A fInal thought before I go off to bed, by "watch where Legion ends up going" I did not mean "Legion is teh amazeballs, we should burn our PS3s and embrace teh #pcmasterrace"
I literally meant watch to see where CCP goes with it. Things like how they handle the crossover, a potential future PS4 version, that bloody progression crap they showed earlier will make or break the game - and as Legion is now the 'chosen one' we should watch how it progresses and give honest, constructive feedback where appropriate. |

Basicaly this. The PS3 never had the required specs to make what they proposed. Which makes me think CCP goes some fat cash from Sony to make it PS3 exclusive. Now that they can make Legion, it'll be a much better game. |

I doubt this is the first sony is hearing of this.
Yes, Sony is essentially a game vendor and platform caretaker. If CCP wants to bring Legion to the PS4 Sony will say 'Hell Yes!".
Valkyrie is already developing for PS4.
Do not think for a second Sony is going to act like a 13 year old like 90% of the player base is acting today and do anything wrongful towards CCP.
