It's not hard, to relive your love for this game. All it takes is the right home, and distance from stagnation. What are you guys doing in corps that refuses to progress? Do you enjoy the communities that feel stagnation is 'just a part of the game because'?
You're in the wrong corps. Get out of them. Go join corps who have balls in them still. Go strengthen WTF and OH, go find leaders who are making teams for the impending future. Abandon the corps who have forgotten what it means to live in our constantly evolving universe. Abandon the corps who aren't actively finding ways to get you ISK and fights. Abandon those who have forgot what it means to think for there members.
Go make new corps, rebuild ties, make new ones, grow, strengthen. Stagnation occurs for many reasons, but to blame upon someone else's conquest is a cop out. No conquest in this game has lasted for more then 2 months. None. Always prepare for the future, because you never know when it's here.
Will you be ready for the **** storm?

Sota is correct in my opinion.
The biggest content driver for this game has always been based on the social aspect such as Group A and B beefing with each other or a player infiltrating another group for nefarious purposes. Movement or realigning of veteran players WOULD likely have a major effect on smaller corps and the players in them.
Tons of corps / alliances aren't in PC...having experieinced PC vets integrate into them or form alliances with them would help bring up skill, show players how to improve, and perhaps most importantly give them tools that might allow them to revive ambition.
No group wants to stagnate and just do pubs and the occaisional FW synch...problem is that many simply don't know how to get out of that cycle. Admittedly, once you are in that plateau it is VERY difficult to breakout with how the game is working right now. That said, the game won't always be like it is now.
I've had differences with Zatara in the past but I absolutely give him full credit for what he did with FA. That is a great example of what a few higher level players that are willing to work with newer or those percieved as "lower tier" can accomplish. It's a pretty good example of what Sota is driving at.

Indeed this. If people actually stuck with their groups, rather than just quitting to find the new winning corps, there'd be a better balance of power in the game.

I can name only one. Negative-Feedback.
Loyalty to your corp should mean something. It should mean you want them to grow and constantly expand and getting better. What kind of loyalty are you claiming to have if your corp is stagnant? I call BS on 'loyalty'. If your corp is stagnant - that's how loyal your members are, that's how much they care.
That is not the kind of corp you want to be in.

Not everyone has the same ideals as 'PC domination, relevance, competition'. Don't get me wrong, I do. But I know a good majority of my veteran and talented corp-mates couldn't care less for PC. Loyalty to them is having fun with the clan... nothing stagnant there.

You're wrong.
Players jump ship because leadership sucks. Ask them yourself, there are very few people that can make a claim to jumping ship over anything other then they wanted too. If a corp is failing, a lot, tensions get high. A good leadership will resolve that tension and bring it all back together so they can give it there all again next game.
A bad corp lets that tension grow, resulting in it falling a part.
Now, i know many corps leaders try to keep it together and it just falls a part anyways, that's just how things are. Being afraid of loss and people bailing isn't the solution. Fighting through it is.

Lmao, no offence Sota but you could not, and I doubt many others could run the corporation like myself, my CEO and the other ranking officers do with the help of our officers. It takes a lot more than just in-game crap with us, 843 is a network across multiple games. Truth is our corporation is more systematic, structured and solid than most corps out there, including every one of you in DNS (probably), if we weren't then we'd be dead on the sidewalk from lack of activity, but we boom with activity just as a PC active corp does. We do not need to be 'taken in'. We are not suffering any problem that needs nurturing.
And I do truly mean no offence, but I believe people underestimate corporations in our position. We run a website that is the only successful corporation website I've ever seen for Dust. Buzzing with forums, chats, polls, strategies, all that good stuff. Why do you think you don't see Burgezz on these forums? There is more to our kind of corporation than meets the eye!
Point is not everyone has the same ideals, and loyalty does not just mean you stick through the good times, you stick through the bad times too. I am not currently in charge of PC or competition in our corporation, nor have I been for a long time, but I when I return soon I hope to up the ante for Burgezz, as there is a lot of potential in here and it does frustrate me sometimes that we are not as active as we can be, so I agree with you there, there isn't a lot of reason why we could not move up.

Awesome, you have a multi-gaming community. That means when you log off dust you can go enjoy them. But while you're here playing dust come with us.
That doesn't make you guys any less then what you are now. You'll just be a part of a bigger team. You'll still have your website and who you are as a community. Bring that to the table and show me what it can do.
Or not, I'd rather you grow up yourself, honestly. More leaders in this game, the better. But if you're not being used, let me use you.

There is no player market and don't think there will be one for quite some time, so all the isk in the game means nothing.
There is no revolving economy between Dust and Eve so weapon and equipment manufacture have no impact on economy or supplying troops, so really all the districts in the game have no purpose of their own to begin with.
Other than bragging rights, there is nothing to have stake in, nothing. Maybe down the road when and if things really do matter somewhat, a lot of these other corps will try to gain some ground, mine included. But right now with the way this game is right now, after working ten hours the last thing a lot of us want to do is have a battle against an experienced PC corp running the FOTM fits with a CR and get frustrated. Not to mention f'd up tanks and lag.
Happy to play some pubs in cheap gear and relax with my "loyal" corpmates and wait for some fixes.
Nothing to have stake in is exactly why a lot of us backed out, it means absolutely nothing, does nothing, worth nothing.

Okay, man, I know it's just your thoughts. There's nothing wrong with having an opinion and expressing it. But when you re-read this to yourself, you weren't frustrated? You didn't want more? Did the thought ever cross your mind that preparing today might mean tomorrows riches? By giving up now you're just empowering this game to be more broken.
This is CCP, people. This game will be around. If you don't see a future today, then look at tomorrow. If you do not want to prepare for this game based soley on 'no interest' then GET THE **** OUT OF THE WAR ROOM.

Your position as more active in PC does not grant you any extra knowledge, leverage, power, or worthiness to 'Use' me or my corp. Why don't I use you instead? You'd do good for an 843 recruitment drive. Sound good?
If you want to hire me, you can. 1.5 million ISK, win or lose.
I'm not being held back, as it might seem. I know a lot of people would want me to utilise me for battles, and I could be anywhere anyone would want in Dust. If I was going to bought out or used for my talent I would have left and joined an elite corp a long time ago. There is a lack of soul within corporations who 'thrive' in PC, a severe lack of soul. I hope hvLP breaks that chain. Do not let your corporation become reliant on competition, it will be wholly stressful and unsatisfying. I've been running clans for about 7(ish) years now, I've been in and ran every type of clan, too. And I'm not tooting my own horn, but the point to illustrate is that there has to be a happy medium between competition and community. Too many corps have a sever lack of one and too much of the other. We have a lack of competition (on Dust) right now, true.

I have less power than people assume. Whereas I'm not resentful of this, I do not always have the time and the resources to do things the way I want to. We've had many golden opportunities, and failures on our part have lead to poor execution (or none at all). I do want to progress Burgezz in a different way from usual. We don't want to breach our core values, as stated many veterans have no interest in the politics or competitive side of Dust, we're a mixed bunch. And I'm proud of the loyalty of our true members, also. Like Bob.
I totally understand your mercenary way of playing, and I agree that if players aren't happy with where they are they should simply not be there. But 843 means too much to me to give up, I cannot guarantee that I can raise us to victory, but I will sink with this ship if I cannot make it float

A lot, and by a lot, I mean almost all of, HvLP wants this game to grow. We have all spent plenty of time in the game, and not just because we want isk... we all, and I mean everyone reading this, care about this game beyond just a casual level. Some people just use these forums to troll, sure, but the majority of WR posters/readers care about this game beyond the surface level. Is it truly a miracle that someone actually cares to progress the game beyond its current stagnation?
Just a thought... remove your tin foil hat, because I think it is beginning to make you blind.

That will totally make things more interesting and dynamic, and we never have to admit we've failed at anything, because we'll always be in a top corp.

Since meta = anything outside of game, you talking about dust is meta in n of itself. this forum is meta. You calling yourself famous is meta. So what exactly are you trying to say? You found another secret DNS plot to make the community try to recruit more talent from pubs? You're a genius. Someone give this guy a laced cookie. Lol DNS secret plots. I am saying that it is rather poor, and undeveloped post. It seems like anyone could of thought of it. Also what would this cookie be laced with?
We may be in DNS, but I don't think we feel like "DNS"... Read any and all of Heims posts... We're as much DNS as you are Prof V. Everyone has different views... and not every corp in an alliance has to be some puppet. I think your tin foil has made you completely incapable of reason, too...
Then again, we could actually meet and talk about it over a beer.

Woa, you went off track. I am just saying this topic is really simple and underdeveloped.
I laugh when i see people saw things like ban all of DNS, or Kain Spero is a cheat.

ETA: when I made a forum post asking people to get opposition up against DNS before, I was waiting to get a mail to help fight against DNS... and I would have happily helped. That offer was never made... Illuminati came to me and I talked with SoTa, Heimdallr, Black Ice, and Illuminati separately and I joined with very specific things in mind... and what you believe us to be, is not what we are.
I don't think you are anything dude. You're just playing a game. If you want to take everything then it is your right to do so.

Maybe because it's a videogame and the money isn't real. There are some people who are fun enough to play with that they don't have to pay you to fight with them.
