the statement was made early on that ccp made pc small because they didnt want to exclude smaller corps. in retrospect all they did was cater to the 1% of the elite slayer player type. 16 player battles even phase out support style players and basically created the unbalanced logi everyman soldier who can do everything. isnt this game supposed to support every playstyle?
nothing makes pc worse than it allows roving bands of 16 players to control molden heath. large groups like PRO, KEQ, STB and Molon Labe are made useless because they can never bring their number to bear. no option exists for larger battles.
lack of foresight is responsible for the blue donut. if ur corp has an elite slayer 16 man squad u can participate, if not ur just wasting ur time. why didnt the game implement small, medium and large districts for battles of different sizes along with a defenders advantage?
its sad that we still cant make any changes to how our districts maps are set up or drop in assets during a battle, but even worse than that is the fact that pc is designed for such a small amount of dust 514 players. |

Its too predictable from a reinforcements standpoint too. I always thought more guesswork/strategy should have been involved. One clone pack? No Way. Let attackers and defenders pay to have more players on the field/clone reinforcements and reveal the size of the enemy force when the battle starts.
STB has 24 players with 700 clones to our 16/150? ouch. Would make PC more organic and exciting. |

Have you even read the GD section over time? PC is a competitive setting, most people in the GD (not all) wouldn't stand a chance in PC and would cry foul.
It's not about catering. It's about being competitive.
But this is so telling of how people are in real life. Here we have DNS controlling most of MH. What does the majority do? They just whine about it. Want CCP to step in and change it. Instead of sitting down with other mercs and pooling strength from all over the globe to at least make a stand against the DNS alliance. Just like folks in the US who complain about problems but never unite to make better changes, hoping that being a internet revolutionist with a petition from change.org can make an impact. It's quite pitiful really.
The lack of foresight and care of the community brought this about. It didn't happen over night, ya know.

Why the fk do people think dust could possibly get better on the ps3?, we defo need it on ps4 at some point but until then all you can realistically expect is nerfs/buffs and tweaks with sprinkles (suits, vehicles and weapons). Maybe they'd be stupid enough to try and make dust that good and fry our ps3's in the process.
Also some old patch notes stated that maps were "now unlocked for 24v24" but obviously they haven't optimised it but i personally think they can't, the ps3 has 512mb of RAM lol.

Actually its a simple case of never having enough isk. An alliance would have to spend about a year sat on passive isk and mechanic abuse to have a realistic shot. Even if DNS were complete sht they'd have enough to isk troll anyone out of PC.
Let's say an alliance did that, they'd still be a year behind DNS now having gathered 2 years worth. I know PC isn't meant to truly be won but who can be bothered with all that?, for nothing anyway lol. Come on now, you know as well as I do that you'd have to be an idiot to ignore that and simply believe and hope it can be done. I'm also an advocate of DNS in the fact that CCP has to do something now, they have to actually get some balls and make some fking decisions for once rather than just nerf or buff like passive aggressive, indecisive biachs.
Granted some people do simply just whine its not fair though, iv seen it.

The lack of foresight and care of the community brought this about. It didn't happen over night, ya know.
The lack of intervention by the people who created the rules are to blame.
Even if the community bands together, they cannot change the laws that were created to discourage preventing this type of situation. They would be forced to follow the same rules they find detestable, and jump through far more hoops and grandeur to achieve what shouldn't be allowed in the first place.
To use your analogy of the USA, DNS are the large banks using flaws in a system designed to be unfair to anyone outside their elite circle, and lawmakers are doing absolutely nothing to cull their despicable behavior, thus giving them the means to continue to shaft every American because What they are doing isn't against the law.
The rules of PC are what needs to be changed, not the communities need to be involved in a corrupt system that favors the ones who have been abusing it the longest. |

Over the last 3 weeks there has been exactly that above! Every day alliances and corporations were pooling resources to try and attack multiple districts of DNS to take them over. What happened? Besides large number of losses, DNS lost 2 districts, and large numbers of players said they would give up on PC matches because of how UNPLAYABLE it is. Every game lagged harder then ever before seen even with precautions in place (low resoultions set to PS3s, removal of unnecessary chat windows, restarting the ps3 before hand and others).
Preemptive strike against rebuttals:
- Lag is an accepted part of PC. Why? How is it acceptable when my vehicles explode in midair from absolutely ZERO enemy fire or when they hit a bump the wrong way? Why does it take me 30 seconds to cross a 10 meter road? Why do I only see what's shooting at me when I die (non-cloak kills).
- Get a better connection: I have 75mbps download speed and 30mbps upload speed. Find me a faster connection that a normal civilian like myself can get and afford.
- Play through the lag: See #1 above and kill yourself 1,000,000 times over.
- HTFU: See #'s 1 and 3 above and kill yourself a billion times over on top of #3.
- "well you're obviously not a competitive player"... really? I'm playing an FPS and have the strong urge to throttle enemies with my bare hands if I could. How can I get more competitive?
- Get better teammates if you lose all the time: Really? The best of my corporation and/or alliance and that's what you've got to say? 30mil plus SP players are crap players? **** off...
I could keep going but I'm sure that I'm just on a Soap box now and you probably don't want to read it. Or you're the idiotic trolls that you are and have already argued the above points even though I no longer give a ****.
Sincerely,

Can Mag hold 128v128? Sure. Could it hold it for a couple of hours? I don't know. Plus, the graphics were not nearly as poorly optimized as Dust AND were 4 years ago. Dust (while not much better I'll agree) is using different methods to render, create, implement and gather data which leads to issues with the PS3 mechanics and hardware.
And like Mag, it would be a broken mechanic for a number of players.

Son?, if you are older than 27 then fair play mate lol.
The way dust works is different to mag. Dust already pushes the ps3 and did back in beta which resulted in crashes and hard locks with some unlucky people having dust fry their ps3 but I'd put those particular cases down to people not cleaning out their ps3 now and then.

I'm sorry but that's not an excuse. Tier it, think outside the box....maybe stage 8 simultaneous 16 vs 16 battles that represent a medium or large district.
Someone said it earlier, that a 16 man team of mercs can defend/attack a district is comical. These maps are massive--the battles should be too.
I'm sorry but If someone would have told me 4 years ago that the best future alternative to MAG would have been a game with less gamemodes, a tiny playerbase, less simultaneous players, worse graphics and gameplay i'd have thought he was crazy.

Some good points. V-C was a factor in PC from the beginning until just recently when the sheer monotony of Dust finally got to most of our elite guys and most left until CCP gives us more of the game we were promised.
Still, I agree with the OP. 16v16 to decide the fate of planets? SERIOUSLY? 2001 called, it wants its multiplayer back.

Doesn't lag any more? really....
Not every client suffers the lag that everyone is talking about so if you're one of the few players that no longer lags congradu-*******-lations to you. If "lag" really is gone from PC... I'll... ****! I'll eat my shoe, shove a carrot up my ass, dance the chicken dance while screaming the star-spangled banner at the top of my lungs AND post it all online! WITH A MOTHER-******* CHERRY ON TOP!
EDIT: Sorry, I get very heated about arguements that have been going on since the introduction of whatever (PC, lag, hit-detection issues, OP suits, OP weapons, UP weapons, etc.).
..........I'm not changing anything though...........
Sincerely,
Your Multi-purpose Everything User
