Please consider limiting vehicles to 2 per type of vehicle maximum in all game modes until the vehicles called in are either: A) destroyed, B) recalled or C) hacked.
Vehicle spam of all types (mainly tanks) are still rampant in Skirmish and Domination. Having limited vehicles to two in Ambush only made it so those tank spammers would do it in the other two game modes instead.
Additionally, when the enemy team gives up entirely, their go to is to move is to call in a MLT tank variant or snipe. This takes away from the infantry game because, as of now, AV and vehicle balance isn't balanced. We can't expect a bunch of newbies to swap to swarmers to shoot at tanks that zip away while hardening. |

The only thing the 2 vehicle max has done for ambush is make me resent blueberries who call their Onikuma before I call my Python. "Sir, the enemy has two blaster tanks on the field!" "Don't worry, those blue LAVs will save us!"
Ambush is a joke now. |

lol. i pull 20-30 kill games against competition, solo or in squad, without an OB on this alt in an ADV suit against protos, so i think i know how to play the game. |

How about we cure the problem with legitimate matchmaking....? Being able to toggle settings like "Vehicles allowed Y/N" would be a great option. Or introduce two separate Ambush modes with and without vehicles. But Scotty the AI might have a stroke trying to separate the two preferences. I don't feel like vehicle spam is a real problem in any other mode than Ambush. In real life "skirmishes", there may be hundreds of HAV's involved at any given time. Just learn to combat them. But I feel Ambush is geared towards a more " infantry only setting". It should be a quick and brutal game mode with random spawns. You shouldn't have to go into this game mode, only to have a tank win the battle for you or stomp you.
I have a toon that runs ADS and I feel that that role has its place, and it is not in Ambush mode. People shouldn't have to be damn near useless to their team running around with AV fits in Ambush.

Your defense on tanks is pathetic. You can't even come up with reasonable counterarguements when logical points are brought up. Why? Because nothing is logical about tanks right now.

And there's hundreds of RPG's, Stingers, FGMs, .50 rounds, AT Mines, and others tanks to combat them.
What do we have?
Swarm launchers. Proximity explosives (which give off a loud "BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP" sound when you get within 15 meters of the things. Other tanks... well, there's something pretty decent. Too bad the other tanks can deal 2,900 damage a shot (Particle Cannon with two damage mods). Remote explosives, well a decent tactic. Too bad every time one is placed down it gives off a loud "ch-BEEP," so if a tanker hears this he'll run at 55 mp/h and never be seen again. If you die by RE on your tank, you're a purebred idiot and deserve it.

And my post was not covering the damage that things do, but rather their place in various game modes.....

I think we need more like a bandwidth limitation. Because three tanks is too many, but six LAVs is just fine.
Something like: HAVs are 3 points, DSs are 2 points, LAVs are 1 point. You can have a total of 8 points in play at a time.
I've seen way too many Domination matches where we have the lead until the enemy team parks three or four tanks around the point.

My point exactly. Even in Skirmish, Manus Peak, or Table Top map in Doms, they camp the tank right on the objective looking at the letter from 5 feet away. No one can get in without blowing em up with RE's, Forge, or proto swarms. Not everyone in a Pub or FW match on your side will be spec'd into these, considering you see a lot of NPC corp people if ur not squaded up. I do have RE fits, but the RE animation to place and time to wait to detonate have been increased, which allows me to de-cloak and get 2 RE's on the tank, back up, and blow em, but they usually zip away and survive.
The point of this post is that these limitations already work in games like BF3 and 4 where you have to wait a certain amount of time after the last spawn to respawn in another one. If a vehicle gets blown up, and you managed to survive in it past the respawn timer (say 5 minutes on a tank), then u can respawn in one immediately. If not, then u have to wait till it's up to respawn in one. There's also vehicle limitations by type (tank, helicopter, arv, buggy, stealth bombers, etc.) as to not spam so many tanks over all the objectives and detract from the infantry game. |
