Wonder wha that would do if they bring out PC 2.0 remove all current holders of districts and remove all isk from the game and sart fresh on it.
Would make things interesting.

I like the way you think. This game will be destroyed by its own players if something drastic isn't done soon. The biggest thing is that it would have to be unannounced. Otherwise people would stock up beforehand and it would only just go back to the way it was before.

there should be full wipe for everyone.
refund all aurum spend and you keep vanity items & beta rewards but everythink else is wiped and you start fresh.
this will sort out all of the scrubs.

Notice he says playerbase as if the protostomper tryhards are the only ones playing. CCP would actually make a larger portion of the playerbase very happy.
You don't do the same thing if restrictions are placed on PC mechanics. Sadly, things like that have to happen because some people would rather treat a game like a personal power trip than a product.

Why would you take away my ISK? I endured countless proto stomps in mlt/basic gear to obtain the mountain of ISK I'm sitting on.

I don't protostomp, never have and probably never will, even if I use proto gear, I wont engage my tryhard mode. Also I don't have nearly as deep pockets as many others do, but I would still be pissed at any kind of ISK wipe, it's my ISK, I've worked for it. If you simply go ahead and negate over a year's worth of ISK grinding, I will be very pissed.

Given the fact that every name corp exploited PC locking and ISK farming it seems like the odds are against us. I would be pissed as well but would cope with and understood why it happened. CCP did have a hand but it was us the playerbase/community as a while breaking the game e.g DNS, EoN, FEC and list goes on

a total wipe would be unfair to all those who loyaly put so much time into this game.
it's also way over the top considering if they just add pve, and fix whats boken, like matchmaking and pc the problems would go away....
not to mention adding more isk sinks...
remember that there are quite a few veteran players, like myself who do not disrupt the game like the exploiters and fotm followers have, we should not all be punished simply because we've been playing longer, nor should new comers be punished for being new. it's such an easy problem to fix, every other game has solutions to this.
shame on you ccp....
this game makes me sad....

1- Players who actually earned their isk playing and not with PC will be extremely pissed and many will leave.
2- Corporations that are interested in PC will just transfer isk from eve characters to dust and start farming again.
3- New players will still get stomped because we don't have any true tutorial and matchmaking. |

The thing is if they dont do it, they are still going to lose players, give everyones ip a set amount of isk and remove the rest corps and all, the way it is now the damage is done the isk has been , moved around and theres no other solution doesnt matterwhat they put in, and they may need to go a step further and asset wipe of all isk purchased gears cause people alrewdy have stocked up.
If they want this game to grow they need to fix the biggest problem.
Legend of dragons mobile app had same problem, had 1000's of people playing at one stage one glitch people got billions of gold they did nothing for 3 days by then everyone on at the time was maxed and noone could do anything. Went from 1000's down to 30 players.
Its going to happen to dust unless spmething is done, and it will have to be drastic, and it will hurt everyone. Suck it up.

While a great idea, that would require CCP to admit the game isn't yet release-ready, and that the release that supposedly happened before wasn't real.
Which would open them up to the revival of the (perfectly legitimate) complaints that they never honoured commitements they made to early adopters of the Merc Pack. Anyone remember the old conditions? Where a refund was promised for every reset AND AT COMMERCIAL RELEASE, then when release day came, they added new conditions without accepting liability for what they'd actually promised?
Still the best solution. Resetting everything and claiming an actual release this time opens this argument up again.
Although to be honest, I hope they DO, and I hope they ACTUALLY HONOUR THEIR PROMISES this time... |

To be honest if they introduced PVE I wouldn't care what they did with pc. Lol
