Give both teams a shielded area on the ground about the size of 4 HAV's there no more 40 acres of safety go eather team, snipers in the hills you can't touch and redline railtanks with the rail nerf they just sit at the edge of the red line and back up when they take fire

Yes let's force you to an area the size of 4 HAVs that way it is super easy to just trap you. You literally would have no way to escape.
The redline sucks but this idea is far worse. That's why they haven't changed the redline, all the ideas have their own weaknesses. Shield idea leads to trapped, no redline/shield leads to base ****. |

That would be legit.
In 60sec you can find and finish a sniper and in many cases a tank. The added time also gives you a pretty decent shot at exiting the redline as well.

A large fortified position stretching the length of the map with plenty of exits which you can see out of but not shoot and no red can enter without being insta-gibbed due to automated defences.
Exits are multi-angled so no one can shoot directly into the fortification and they are sheltered so you have a chance of reaching the battle field even if the reds try to cover the exits during a redline stomp.
The fortification should have high, low and vehicle exits. Yes that means you can spawn the vehicle inside the fortification safely.
However, sniper rifles would need to be redesigned to make them more effective in a run and gun environment. |

We tried removing the red line back in beta days and what we got was the biggest blueberry fest this game has ever seen. Impossible.

I always say the same thing when Redline discussion comes forth: There is no right answer.
A small area the size of 4 HAV's? Well, you might as well leave once you are Redlined because the second you move out you will get shot by the camping party. One way Redline; you go out but not in? How does that work for Dropships that require a far larger area than exists to fly? Do they just hit the shield and die; would basically be like removing them from the game.

Eh, I'd rather see it changed to no damage dealt or received within the redline. No one would bother sprinting into it to kill anyone, and no one would redline snipe anymore. Of course, this would immediately lead to running into the redline to heal up or booby trapping everything alone the redline so as soon as you come out BOOM.
Face it, we can't have nice things, and its mostly due to us as players trying to break the game to make us OP and easy mode. No one wants to go 1/1 KDR. Its, 82/2 (BTW, Lightning xVx did this a couple days ago without any type of cheats) or bust. |

Player owned stations have fueled invulnerable shields. There could be a device that can be dropped like a turret installation right at the begining of the match.
Might be cool to have as a deployable (when that feature comes) also, but only would only work in an open field.

My thoughts...
Much bigger maps....
- Current red line moved back 300 meters. .
- Vacated space become a yellow line of sorts...Contains randomly located & hardened (Not destroyable) ground spawns, possibly with hardened defenses.
- Yellow line is completely invade-able, but contains no objectives. Purely provided for spawn locations close-ish to actual contested objectives.
Anyone redlining should be far enough from most object that they contribute nothing to the match. This is especially true of Snipers who hide far enough into the red line to be safe. Rail tanks, with current 300m hard cap on range, would have zero ability to contribute to actual battle zones. Additionally the distance to the red zone make it more difficult to abuse red line for escape purposes.
Hardened spawn locations mean even if a team is red lined there are at least two (possibly three) spawn locations the other team must cover to prevent escapes. This should in turn split the opposing teams into smaller chunks, making actual red-lining much more difficult.
Would also recommend yellow spawn zones have permanent 0 db passive sensors (only in the spawn area...maybe 10x10 area...?). This is to make it more difficult (not impossible) to camp hardened swaps locations. This in turn helps keep the battle moving instead of turning into MCC afk while red-lined. |

remove the redline. grow some balls.
if your team is getting stomped, a redline wont make it any easier to turn it around. accept your rout and end it early. |

I agree with removing the redline, but the way you plan to do it is wrong.
If a Sica with a Railgun can destroy my ADS from just inside the redline, I should be able to destroy him, instead of damaging him a little bit and then he runs all the way back to their spawn, gets to full health, and waits for his mods to recharge.
The whole "risk vs reward" concept is completely broken for vehicles. I agree that I should be able to be destroyed in my base, too, when I'm flying my Python. Perfectly fine by me, I shouldn't be flying it if I can't afford it.

Bubble shields and bunkers. No shooting in or out. Large enough to SAFELY call in vehicles (perhaps give vehicles a time limit to exit due to room constraints).
