Thank you all for reading this. Do you think that this is the idea CCP has for the future of Dust or do they have completely different plans? I think that this is their idea because I havent invented anything, this is basically Eve on the ground...

nope. Dust is meant to be a much simpler game than eve. Ccp has already announced that eve would handle all of our manufacturing and industry. Districts will largely automine and those resources are moved to eve via an orbital elevator.

most dust players also really don't understand the transportation market in eve. Its already a shaky idea for them to move clones, even if using a premium hauling group contracts just in highsec can take up to 7 days to complete and cost several million, moving to lowsec starts off at about 45m.

paying a cap pilot to shuttle you around on a whim really isn't feasible.

Dust 514: Evolution


I awoke in a large room. I looked out the window and noticed a beautiful collection of stars. To my right there was door labeled "firing range" and to my left there was another door. In the middle of the large room there was a computer. I looked and it, and saw many advertisements that EVE players and other merc were uploading. The ads included images of guns for sale, and people who need to be assassinated.

I walked through the door that was on my left. I recognized the room I entered, it was my merc quarters. In the room my squad mate was sitting on the couch. I decided it was time to enter into battle....


Just before the battle, me and my squad mate spawned in the warbage. (CCP BRING IT BACK) I looked out the window, and saw a huge battle involving EVE ships that where orbiting the planet. The timer reaches 0, and a Alarm goes off.

I spawn into the match, and I hear a jet fly by. I look up to see a huge dog fight happening in the sky. hundreds of Mercs are running past me towards the middle of the map, where the objective Is. I look to my left and see a MTAC walk by. It had 2 swarm launcher on its shoulders, as was launching them at enemy jets in the sky.

I look at my right, and see a large hive fall from orbit. It lands on the battlefield, and about 50 drones crawl out of it. They start gunning down my fellow blueberries. I raised my heavy laser cannon and aimed it at the drones, but a building beside me exploded and crumbled on top of me.

I spawned in again, but better prepared. I hopped into a transport that was driving past me, and got into the gunning seat. It was an Amaar transport, equipped with small laser turrets. We took the longer route around the map, an we only encountered a few scouts on the way. I easily melted them. There where 12 Mercs in the transport with me.

The objective was within 100m, but the transport was flipped. As the health of the vehicle started to lower, I hoped out and saw a enemy MTAC. It picked up the transport and threw it into a small house. It smashed though the wall and exploded. Then the MTAC faced me, and picked me up with its powerful hands. I screamed into my low quality headset that my Grandma gave me for my Birthday.

Before the MTAC could crush me, I see a huge explosion in the sky. My MCC had taken a hard hit, and was falling out of the sky. While the MTAC pilot was distracted by the orgasmic graphics , I shoot him out of the cockpit. I hack his vehicle and hop in.

The MCC hit the ground, and exploded. Dust and debris was everywhere. The battle was lost, but not over. The new objective was clear, to get off the battlefield before I was killed. In the MTAC, I started running towards the Waypoint to regroup with the blueberry survivors. On my way, My MTAC got hit by a speeder with REs strapped onto it. I survived, but my MTAC was almost destroyed.

I thought I wouldn't make it to the evacuation point, but a friendly RDV picked me up and carried me to safety. But then we crashed into a building.


Then my PS3 started on fire.

I dont know why you dont like the idea of mining in Dust, it is not that I m going out with a Pick... it is more like a LASER PICK... or drones that mine for me... Anyway that was just an example, the important thing is... Is this the similar to the vision of ccp or is the dust we have atm similar to its final form?
