Or how I see a day of gameplay in the future, how I how it could be. This is just a story, obviously it is just a little part of how I see the Universe of Dust in the future.
Before you start reading I want to say this: sorry for my english, I m italian and my english doesn't help me sometime, I hope hope you will enjoy it anyway.
As I log on in my main character I find myself in a district in a highsec planet, this district is near a cave of Iron so it is used for mining, and that is why I am here.
This district is also controlled by a corporation so I have payed a tax to enter.
I want to go mining and I am in high sec but there are wild drones that can kill you will you mine so I want to hire a bodyguard. I check the contracts and I see an heavy with a high rating for this kind of mission so I hire him.
We take a lav and go mining, he defend me from those drones that are stupid enough to try to engage.
Suddenly a player show up and try to kill my bodyguard, we manage to go under cover and just wait for the police. A group of drones arrive and Kill the stupid pirate. Go in Null sec, idiot!
We go back and I pay him, I could have not payed him but this would have given me a bad standing that I dont want, I am a merchant I need to be trust.
Now I could sell what I collected for a little amount of ISK (low risk low reward) but I wont, I wont to craft some logi mk0 suit that I will use.
To craft those isk I have to go to a specialised laboratory in another planet. I hire a capsulers from EVE to bring my Iron to that planet.
I m Now in the right planet, that is in Null sec, but I have to reach the right district, I could go there by myself but I know that there are a lot of drones and pirates on the Way. They can slow down or freeze your vehicle, they can destroy your capacitor or just destroy you with damage, I don't have enough sp in vehicles to be sure.
So I hire a Group of specialised mercenaries to bring my Iron to the laboratory, I pay a png to "teleport" me there, that s possible because I dont have anything with me.
When they arrive I pay them and I start buying the other things I need to craft my suits. I need this, this, this and... MAMMA MIA! It costo 100x its normal price!
I immediately check the forum (from the game, I don't have to use My pc). Apparently a corporation has obtained every district in wich you can craft that item and is Now controlling the market of it.
No problem I will craft scout instead of logi, scout doesn't need that item. I craft 100 suit for half the price I would have payed buying them from the market (high risk high reward).
Now I can go play pvp with my new suits.
This is just a story about a merchant, you can be a dedicated miner, a mercenary, a pirate and many other things.
This is how I see a mmofps, a mmofps that I would really enjoy. I hope that was not too bad to Read and that someone actually Read it. Thank you if you did it, bye. |

Thank you all for reading this. Do you think that this is the idea CCP has for the future of Dust or do they have completely different plans? I think that this is their idea because I havent invented anything, this is basically Eve on the ground... |

Ccp has already announced that eve would handle all of our manufacturing and industry. Districts will largely automine and those resources are moved to eve via an orbital elevator. most dust players also really don't understand the transportation market in eve. I know there are things that dont match with eve, I ve played no more than a month of Eve so I dont really know it very well.
I hope that Dust will increase its playerbase CCP will change its mind about the future of Dust, what I would like to see here is an eve on the ground.
For the transportations... I think that CCP could let you decide between a capsulers or a png but the png will cost more than the capsulers.
Guys I know that there are a lot of mistakes and that Iron wasnt a good example, I already said that english isnt my first language. Sorry for My mistakes. |

I dont know why you dont like the idea of mining in Dust, it is not that I m going out with a Pick... it is more like a LASER PICK... or drones that mine for me... Anyway that was just an example, the important thing is... Is this the similar to the vision of ccp or is the dust we have atm similar to its final form? |
