Instead if you wish to obtain resources for production you need to by them from Space Elevator Facilities or Steal it via Missions to hostile territory.
As such, I awake in my Merc Quarters, the neocom on my arm beeping gently, someone has invited me to attend a meeting . . . . . . .in a null sec bar/lounge. Thing is I don't know anyone who operates in that sector. I enter my personal CRU amd prepare for a clone jump. In seconds my conciseness is transferred across the galaxy directly into another clone.
As I awake again, I see the entrance to the 'Doomheim Clone Bar' I've heard the reputation of this place so I make sure to take an Ion Pistol, just in case.
As I walk in a concierge is waiting for me, she informs me I am to attend a meeting in the VIP area, something is obviously going down the last time a meeting was held here the foundations for a war were laid, a war that made BR-1551B look like Chump Change.
I approached the table and noticed an EvE player sitting across the table, this was starting to get serious.
"Aah Monkey, Please take a Seat"
"What's the Contract?"
"Straight to the point I see, I like that, would you not care for a drink?"
"No"
"Very well, I have a Contract for you, it has been brought to my attention that someone within our alliance is attempting to AWOX us"
"You want me to find them?"
"Better, I want them made an example of, everyone in our Alliamce must know you don't double cross me"
"Certainly what about payment?"
"What did you have in mind?"
"10% of Shares in the Alliance"
"5%"
"Fine, but I want it payed in advance"
"Naturally"
As I go to leave the concierge approaches me again to escort me out.
"Did he take it?"
"Of course he did, he's to obsessed with obtaining his own wealth, to blind to see what's about to happen"
"When should I transfer the rest of the Shares to your account?"
"Later, I have some things to take care of first"
Unless your a Computer Scientist don't tell me how Game Mechanics Work.

The dust we have now isn't exactly far off, there isn't gonna be free roaming like EvE our personal industry production will be a lot more streamlined and ultimately reliant upon the EvE economy.
However the scope and impact of our battles will eventually be a lot more far reaching.
