Honestly, I wish I could help you. You might be one of the only people I've heard of going for the gal logi since passive scans on a scout are so much better than a logi's scanner.
As for any logi, however, its much more effective to run cheaper modules with ADV equipment and good core skills. Having armor/shields to lvl 5 and engineering/electronics up to at least lvl 3 really helps you fit good items without having to sacrifice much else. For EQ, you honestly can't go wrong with bringing the basics. A needle and a rep tool net you more points that anything even without the eq bonus. Since you are in the mega scan suit, it seems almost obligatory that you should have one slot at least dedicated to the scanner.
However, if you really want to be the scanner guy for your squad, you can stack scanners. Having more than one makes that cool down almost insignificant. Especially with 3 eq slots but honestly, I don't see you getting much use from the suit as a scannerzilla with the recent scout changes :/

Only advice I can give you is to get your scanning to proto so that you can make the most of your Gal Logi bonuses.
That said, you don't have to limit yourself to scanning. This is particularly true for times when you are the only logi in your squad, in those cases you might want to diversify with a repair tool and nanohives etc...
Also, there is a generally accepted rule that states it is better (more cost effective) to have proto gear in an advanced suit than advanced gear in a proto suit.
How do you kill that which has no life?

This is all good advice. I've been gal logi proto since uprising came out and one of the easy things to forget is the advantage of four equip slots. It lets you fit two of something like two scanners or two different repping hives and still have tons of room. Also the slot layout is superior for a lot of fits. You can brick the **** out of it, or add a few passive scanning mods, and it still slays like a mothefucker with the right fit. The point I'm making is the gal logi is probably the most versatile ignoring any racial bonus.
I had a fit with 3 complex damage mods and about 900 armor HP. Combine with 2 or 3 types of repping\triage hives and you can stand in a bubble of 4-6 hives repping you and just **** on people. That is how you armor tank solo. |

No he-¦s not. Galllente logistic since 1.3. And as I run both caldari scout and gallente logistic I have to disagree with you. A 10sec lasting, 200m scan is worth it. You are right about many logi-¦s didn-¦t spec back into gallente but I get many compliments about my decent scans. In opposite to the shared passive scan of the scouts a good scan lights up enemies like a x-mas tree. Squadmates love it.

Proto logistic suits don-¦t work out ISK-wise in pub matches as long as you don-¦t run with a full squad of 10+ kill slayers. Which doesn-¦t happen alot. Stick to adv suits and look if proto eq is really worth it. Don-¦t try to have a on-fits-all suit. My suits range in price between 40-85k and thats a decent spot I think.
Hope that helped a bit. Don-¦t forget intel is KING. :_: |

After Uplinks and what not, hide yourself in a "safe place", preferable near crates.
I use 3X Complex Shield Extenders
ADV Combat Rifle,
Flux
5x Complex Dampners- sounds crazy but that puts you just below 21 db (20.49 I think), so you'll dodge the 200m flux and nearly all scanning.
Assuming you're level 5 in gal logi then;
2 x Duvolle Focused Scanner- with bonus 15 db 100 m?
2 x Creo Flux Scanner 200m 21db?
Now, it may not seem like much fun hiding the whole match, but you've jut made killing almost easy for your squad.
**************
Almost forgot-
most important of all, send tard mail to enemies after you win a match. I send people *YOU HAVE BEEN SCANNED* after my squad wins. People HATE HATE HATE getting scanned, and they really don't expect it these days. Imagine their surprise.... |

I actually don't mind either the 'you've been scanned' or even the 'scan attempt prevented' messages. Both of them tell me someone is near, so its actually somewhat helpful regardless.

I run Logi and am into testing enough that I've opened proto on all four races to try them all. Based on my field tests if you're looking for max effect and best risk vs reward from a Gal Logi here is what I'd suggest
- Prototype Armor tank (both skills and mods)
- Upgrade fittings skills as needed to fill your slots
- Pro scanner - use wide field of scan run with a squad and drop scans as you breach an area for Intel points
- BDR-8 Rep Tool - Use this to maximize rep points, or unlock the Six Kin for duel target lock.
- 30% Injector - Until CCP fixes the WP awards going beyond the 30% needle is costing you potential WPs as well as CPU/PG and ISK. Outside of PC, or pure altruism for your squad never go beyond the 30% needle.
- Repper Nanohives - You're armor tanked and they can provide both WP earnings and self reps.
- Shield tank - getting Dropsuit Shield Upgrades to 5 gives an extra 25% shield HP, every little bit helps keep squishy support logi alive.
- Nades - Optional at this point in the game, if you run them run flux.
- Light Weapon - Fit best LW of type you most enjoy, but fit your tank and Equipment first.
- Misc - Both Biotic and Hacking upgrades are worthwhile as you develop further
Hope that helps, Cheers, Cross
