Quote: Honestly, I wish I could help you. You might be one of the only people I've heard of going for the gal logi since passive scans on a scout are so much better than a logi's scanner.
No he-¦s not. Galllente logistic since 1.3. And as I run both caldari scout and gallente logistic I have to disagree with you. A 10sec lasting, 200m scan is worth it. You are right about many logi-¦s didn-¦t spec back into gallente but I get many compliments about my decent scans. In opposite to the shared passive scan of the scouts a good scan lights up enemies like a x-mas tree. Squadmates love it.
Quote:As for any logi, however, its much more effective to run cheaper modules with ADV equipment and good core skills. Having armor/shields to lvl 5 and engineering/electronics up to at least lvl 3 really helps you fit good items without having to sacrifice much else. For EQ, you honestly can't go wrong with bringing the basics. A needle and a rep tool net you more points that anything even without the eq bonus. Since you are in the mega scan suit, it seems almost obligatory that you should have one slot at least dedicated to the scanner. +1
Quote:However, if you really want to be the scanner guy for your squad, you can stack scanners. Having more than one makes that cool down almost insignificant. Tried that, but you are just to fixated on all the cooldowns running that you don-¦t do all the other important logi stuff, imho.
Quote:That said, you don't have to limit yourself to scanning. This is particularly true for times when you are the only logi in your squad, in those cases you might want to diversify with a repair tool and nanohives etc... +1. Don-¦t forget the fricking UPLINKS! Especially in Domination. *sigh*
Proto logistic suits don-¦t work out ISK-wise in pub matches as long as you don-¦t run with a full squad of 10+ kill slayers. Which doesn-¦t happen alot. Stick to adv suits and look if proto eq is really worth it. Don-¦t try to have a on-fits-all suit. My suits range in price between 40-85k and thats a decent spot I think.
Hope that helped a bit. Don-¦t forget intel is KING. :_: |
