Last night "Rebel" Forces led a fleet of 15 to show up and provide Orbital Support for Top Men. It wasn't long before DNS arrived in system with 4 pilots who quickly left the system realizing they couldn't do anything.
What this actually means: Despite DNS's HUGE EVE side which is often a bragging point for most alliances with an EVE side. DNS Simply can't convince their pilots to show up in Molden Heath.
This could be an underlying problem with CCP not having good enough incentives for people to partake in these battles, but I believe the problem resonates from a deeper issue. It takes a special type of EVE player to legitimately care about DUST, DNS has a few, most of them are former members of RA, but for the most part, DNS Pilots just don't care about DUST, and why should they. There is no fun one shooting a destroyer, or watching a warp core stabilized destroyer warp away safely. There is no fun for the support fleet who shows up and doesn't drop any orbitals and waits on a quiet empty beacon because their enemy underestimated them and didn't show up with a proper force.
While the actual battle was lost by Top Men. (by no more than 15 or so clones) there was a victory in the sky, a victory that proved having a huge EVE side, is not the same as having an active EVE side that cares about DUST.
It has become apparent, that DNS as a whole doesn't care about DUST.
So fear not, coordinate with "Rebellion" leaders and they will ensure that DNS doesn't bug you guys during your match and if you have a pilot capable of dropping OB's we'll safe guard him too.
DNS may now begin their smack talk.
*Edit, I still have respect for the former RA EVE pilots. Hats off to what you do for your guys.

You can try to call the alliance out as a whole (and me specifically from your post). Doesn't change the fact that your teams can't hack it on the ground. |

Sadly I didn't catch the fight though. :(
Our teams can hack, it's always been a matter of clones, you guys just have more, once we have more clones to attack with, the game will change.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you were actually going to get a massive dns fleet dropped on you, unfortunately the guys who control the cyno chain lost power due to a tornado in their area. you're more then welcome to try again though.

I would have loved it MP2008, but a cyno wasn't dropped, logistics failed, and DNS continued to roam Curse for the majority of the day as implied by their killboards.
If you do happen to hotdrop the **** out of us with a huge DNS fleet, make sure you fraps it, send it to TheMittani.com so we can bring more attention to the non station/gate game PVP fun that is a PC battle.
Hypothetically speaking, having twice as many clones as a result of poor mechanics made by CCP doesn't mean your ground troops are good. Why the CPM hasn't called for a billion hotfixes on this is ridiculous.

What makes you think the big power blocs aren't paying attention already? Keep escalating, you'll only screw yourselves in the end. Part of what you say is true, eve pilots want content, if you keep bringing large fleets, people outside of DNS will want in on it too and you'll get stomped. Either way, it's fun for us. bring the fights, we will come. Last night was just unfortunate power loss.

They aren't paying enough attention. We'll keep escalating because we enjoy the fights. I was getting sick of me vs 5 dns pilots, having a fleet to help makes it fun, I expected DNS to bring way more, it doesn't look like they planned to cyno people, it looked like they brought 4 ships that were on their beacon and that's usually been the norm. ohwell

It doesn't matter how many clones Caps and Mercs has. They are no where near as good as a WTF/OH that would actually benefit from increased clone pack size. You could clone pack 20 districts with 400 clones each and you still wouldn't take one. Stop making excuses. |

LOLZ if we're only losing by 15/20 clones it's an issue of clone packs. It's easy to make claims at how you are better when you have twice as many clones.

And having an EVE side run away and abandon you is still having them run away and abandon you, no matter what the reasons may be. Which brings the question, why did you join an EVE alliance if they were only going to run away? Why not stay in RA, MP2008 and eatsbabies would always fight me back then, what's the point in being in DNS as opposed to your old alliance?

Thats a bad ass coat, but during WW2 the Germans had cool uniforms, but they still lost. However they controlled most of Europe for some time, but they were stopped by countries banding together. See any parallels? o7

You really have no idea what's really going on. And for strategic reasons it will stay that way. Don't mistake 1 missed battle for a pattern. It's not. We have our own tactics and reasons behind every move we make, whether that means showing up to a fight light, heavy, or not at all. Got an empire to run man, decisions are made.

This is the second time I have agreed with you... and you're still in Necro! Wow... I think you're finally getting the point, but you have still not made the real connection... you're still just posting propaganda for your failed attempts at taking districts. Dust means NOTHING to CCP... or, at least, the PC side. There is no reason for any EvE pilot to ever be at a PC battle and there is no reward for having ownership of districts... it is STRICTLY Dust side isk... which will be worthless once EvE and Dust can have a true monetary exchange. None of us need the money... what benefit do we get from it? We all have enough money to run proto from now, until the servers shut down, or a better game comes along... but what we don't have, is a functioning game mode that we ALL care about. If we didn't care about PC, if we didn't care about the progression of the game, why would we have offered to ring for your corps for so long? Why would we post on the forums offering advice on stuff to fix and how to balance the game mode for corps like yours? You see a tyranny that you think you can win against... we see it as an act of providing the community with a better game mode. When/if we move on and start handing the land back out (or otherwise), we will do so at the understanding that the game has been fixed, and that there is legitimate benefit to owning districts other than a b.s. paycheck.
Why don't you ask some of your "rebel" friends their motivations... and see how long it takes for them to not stutter. Good of the game... yes... lets fight a war over something worthless and ignore the horizon that promises much much more.
As the archeology of our thought easily shows, man is an invention of recent date. And one perhaps nearing its end
