Last night "Rebel" Forces led a fleet of 15 to show up and provide Orbital Support for Top Men. It wasn't long before DNS arrived in system with 4 pilots who quickly left the system realizing they couldn't do anything.
What this actually means: Despite DNS's HUGE EVE side which is often a bragging point for most alliances with an EVE side. DNS Simply can't convince their pilots to show up in Molden Heath.
This could be an underlying problem with CCP not having good enough incentives for people to partake in these battles, but I believe the problem resonates from a deeper issue. It takes a special type of EVE player to legitimately care about DUST, DNS has a few, most of them are former members of RA, but for the most part, DNS Pilots just don't care about DUST, and why should they. There is no fun one shooting a destroyer, or watching a warp core stabilized destroyer warp away safely. There is no fun for the support fleet who shows up and doesn't drop any orbitals and waits on a quiet empty beacon because their enemy underestimated them and didn't show up with a proper force.
While the actual battle was lost by Top Men. (by no more than 15 or so clones) there was a victory in the sky, a victory that proved having a huge EVE side, is not the same as having an active EVE side that cares about DUST.
It has become apparent, that DNS as a whole doesn't care about DUST.
So fear not, coordinate with "Rebellion" leaders and they will ensure that DNS doesn't bug you guys during your match and if you have a pilot capable of dropping OB's we'll safe guard him too.
DNS may now begin their smack talk.
*Edit, I still have respect for the former RA EVE pilots. Hats off to what you do for your guys.

Sadly I didn't catch the fight though. :(
Our teams can hack, it's always been a matter of clones, you guys just have more, once we have more clones to attack with, the game will change.

I would have loved it MP2008, but a cyno wasn't dropped, logistics failed, and DNS continued to roam Curse for the majority of the day as implied by their killboards.
If you do happen to hotdrop the **** out of us with a huge DNS fleet, make sure you fraps it, send it to TheMittani.com so we can bring more attention to the non station/gate game PVP fun that is a PC battle.
Hypothetically speaking, having twice as many clones as a result of poor mechanics made by CCP doesn't mean your ground troops are good. Why the CPM hasn't called for a billion hotfixes on this is ridiculous.

They aren't paying enough attention. We'll keep escalating because we enjoy the fights. I was getting sick of me vs 5 dns pilots, having a fleet to help makes it fun, I expected DNS to bring way more, it doesn't look like they planned to cyno people, it looked like they brought 4 ships that were on their beacon and that's usually been the norm. ohwell

LOLZ if we're only losing by 15/20 clones it's an issue of clone packs. It's easy to make claims at how you are better when you have twice as many clones.

For those of you who don't know Fiddlestax is a paranoid conspiracy theorist, who I upshipped and killed his ships multiple times, for that he is forever mad at me. He freaked out when I was in DNS's teamspeak talking to DNS Black, he is currently trying to find a way around the bounties I placed on him :D
Just like your coercer alone can't beat my vagabond. We can't beat you with half your clones.

And having an EVE side run away and abandon you is still having them run away and abandon you, no matter what the reasons may be. Which brings the question, why did you join an EVE alliance if they were only going to run away? Why not stay in RA, MP2008 and eatsbabies would always fight me back then, what's the point in being in DNS as opposed to your old alliance?

And for strategic reasons it will stay that way. Don't mistake 1 missed battle for a pattern. It's not. We have our own tactics and reasons behind every move we make, whether that means showing up to a fight light, heavy, or not at all. Got an empire to run man, decisions are made.
I have a pretty good idea of what's going on, since I personally approached DNS Black and he gave the low down, and people in your alliance and my alliance are still friends, and people talk about your alliance just as they talk about mine. It happens.
*eats popcorn*
And believe me we didn't mistake 1 missed battle for a pattern, last time you guys only fought against me and a guy who went afk, this time I brought a 15 man fleet. Maybe next time it'll be just me vs 200 guys, maybe not.
Things are subject to change as always.

you have one A-Team apparently, because everyone in your alliance when they get stomped they claim that wasn't their A-team and how they would have beat us if they were there. It's funny how many times your players call themselves part of the A-Team and other members say "That wasn't our A-Team, if I was there we would have won".

DNS has a lot of sway in EVE. That's why DNS Black goes to fanfest, does the alliance panels, and has his own rooms to talk about stuff to the community during fanfest given by CCP

Well DNS Showed up finally with a better fleet. Was really surprised, they killed my one ship...I killed one of theirs, they just brought too many good ships, for you Dust players, we had militia suits, they were all proto.
Though I believe the reason they actually showed up had more to do with the fact they were losing face in this topic. Half the members were former RA pilots, which as stated I said I had respect for.
No matter the reason, they showed up, so credit is due.
Though I think it's funny they got trapped by pirates.
Prepared for the op: 1 hour Moved to the location: 10 minutes Sat on district: 15 minutes Left stuck in a system due to pirates: 30+ Minutes
I'm sure DNS pilots will get use to enjoying that routine.

We showed up, you had like 12 people in the system, we killed one, you killed one. My guys know I care, and the "rebellion" knows I care, you guys did that and straight to reply here, proving you only did it to save face, you couldn't fleet that 9/10 times and you know it. The former RA pilots and new joins are the only ones that care.

Sorry I came out to engage you guys, came to the district, almost killed the orbital support if it wasn't for those damn logi's, you all docked up, then I went off to spend time with my fianc+¬, I guess you guys fought 7-2 while I was gone, would have loved to have been there, but after the PC our pilots (mostly from the EU time zone) were tired and logged off.
Like I said I only credit former RA members. I still maintain that DNS pilots really don't care.

Still Hats off to the former RA guys,
You guys maintained orbital superiority, but like I said, you won't always have fleets like that, 9/10 you only have former RA guys, not the DNS people who showed up probably as a direct result of this thread or maybe it was our fleet beating yours twice in a row, who knows... so brag all you want and savor your "victory" (you lost the isk war thanks to the kitsune pilot/we lost the isk war on the ground, but that was to be expected with only 120 clones)

Like I said I only credit former RA members. I still maintain that DNS pilots really don't care. The more you run your mouth and make excuses, the more care you create. The more you get the relevant forces (7-2) involved, the more you pique the interests of those that have other things to do. Like all decentralized groups, DNS members display a wide array of feelings towards the dust fights. You are doing a great job aligning those feelings. We have been straight up with broader DNS... We have told them our teams don't need OBs to stomp any one of your teams. They continue to show up regardless, because once in a while a solid opportunity presents itself and it is great for building unity within the organization. Perhaps I will change the timers yet later, so that I might take advantage of the intel you have shared with me. We might not even show up next time though. Have fun wit the late nights bud. I think ill do that now.
LMAO "they continue to show up reguardless" half the time it's you fiddlestax. Feel free to change the timers you'll only play more into other time zones :D

I'm glad my smack talk made DNS Pilots suddenly care more (because they didn't) and DNS Black pay more attention.
But seriously, participation on DNS's side was most likely a direct result of this thread. As soon as the match was over my mailbox had this:
"From: Julius Romulus Liskus Sent: 2014.04.15 01:49 To: Matthew Dust,
Hope you update your forum posts, for DNS fleet dedication."
Take care guys! Looking forward to when my fleet is as strong as yours.
