I hate to say this, but Gal and Caldari scout need a slight debuff. The 80m Scan radius is nuts, way too good. Assault or Scout with a 80m passive? Scout. How do we fix this?
Well, have caldari get a boost to picking up amarr, amarr a boost against gallante, gallente against minmatar, and minmatar against amarr. This would give players a reason to go into a specific scout.
Think of EVE and ECM and ECCM. You could hide from X person but not X. |

^ Pretty much this. Scouts kind of Scout. Part of their roll. I think people are just used to Scouts being crap and dealing with being repressed for so long by the community. |

Oh, I should also like to point out the ONLY WAY to get 80+ meter scan radius passively is to run 3 Complex Range Amplifiers at the same time and ask yourself how many Scouts are going to sacrifice their lows for that?

Heavies are in no way OP, I am also a cal scout and believe the problem is high hp used on some scout suits. I don't think a scout should be sable to get more than 400-500 hp it interferes with the assault role when a scout runs around with more life than this and wields a CR. I don't want to see a reduction to slots because my scout hunter suit only has 400 total hp but perhaps a cap on health for scouts?

Why the **** are there now threads popping up asking for scout nerfs JUST as scouts are finally making a comeback? The Gallente scout was able to see up to 100 meters out passively back in 1.7 for the past three months and no one complained. But now you start coming here asking for a debuff (which is just a covert way of saying "nerf it")?

The same reason there were threads to nerf the "assault logi". The suits have a role. Fitting a suit to cross over into another role fine, BUT said suit shouldn't be able to run the role better than.
Examples: Logi Brick >Heavies Logi Assualt>Assault Scout Assault>Assault
You see the pattern.....no reason to run assault when every other suit does it better and with the 20% heavy HP reduction there will be little point in running a heavy. Each suit should be GREAT at its intended role and good/decent if you cross it over. You would still be able to customize each suit to your play style.
Sadly this has never been the case with Dust. One of the reasons why you don't see much variety on the battle field. At least in pubs. It's all about the best "slayer" suit. Every once in a while you will get into the pub games that feel more like a pc battle. Of course that is when you have a squad going against another squad for the same objectives and it turns into who can counter who. Those are few and far between.

I do not mind their ability to scan.
but scouts just made assault useless. why use a assault when you can get a scout with 800 ehp that sports high speed, small hitbox, decent passive scan and the ability to avoid some scanners without any mods.
or a cloaked scout with 600 ehp, who is able to unload 3 shotgun rounds on you while cloaked because the cloak animation takes so long to finish. it looks like CCP devs played mass effect shotgun infiltrator for too long... |

Caldari scouts only get 2 low slots - they can't reach 80m passive scan range, only the gallente can and if they want to be able to scan other scouts, they have to use their high slots to do so, thus having zero tank - sounds fair to me; that's the setup I most commonly run and not in a million years would I consider it even remotely OP.

Heavies are not necessarily going to get nerfed and assaults and logis will eventually get their base stats and slots looked at, as CCP 'didn't have enough time' to do it for 1.8. My suspicion (and suggestion) would be to buff assaults' base eHP, so that they'll easily outperform scout assaults in tanking.

oh nvm , OP is dumb, everything is fine. I was going to say, 80m passive would let you reach 200m passive scanning. Getting to 80m scan radius takes a lot of slots but it's awesome. |

He's accounting for the scan range modules. But even then that's sacrificing a lot of tank.
