Semantics. You're (we all are) still dead regardless, no? Scouts were doing this before cloaks, only now there's whole lot of em' coming over to play with a new toy. That in and of itself paints a bigger target on the situation. I personally feel it will balance itself as scouts find sub-specs to turn on cloaked specs. How many weeks has it been now since cloak has been FoTM? ;) If I had to pick from the list, I'd say recloak delay. I mean it works for Warcraft? lol, sorry. I had to ;) I wonder if that word gets filtered?? =D
Anyway, ya animation speed, any glitches, and hell even a cooldown is fine. But I don't see either of the suggestions stopping scouts from shotting anyone else in the back of the head. Scout 101 stuff that's just taken a cloak for assaults to take notice and abuse it. It's annoying, I agree, but I feel and hope that scouts will take matters into their (dare I say "our"?) own hands and hunt these recent converts down killing them in cloak.

Sure lets fix cloaks. Reduce the "Shimmer" on cloaks for when people are walking or crouch walking. It shouldn't be as bright as when someone is doing a full out sprint like it is right now.
Otherwise, cloaks are fine. Leave them alone and get gud. |

No, I would not want any of these. I would go for:
4. Add a small activation cost on top of the constant drain. This will penalize switching spam between cloak and gun (will drop you below 50% faster), but not make a big difference if you drop a uplink or traverse an area.
5. Make a flux grenade increase the cloak shimmer effect for a short time, even when standing still.
Overall, I don't have a big issue with cloaks. I am slowly adapting... |
