ADAM-OF-EVE Dead Man's Game 1210	Posted - 2014.04.08 22:16:00 - [121] - Quote why fit a logi anymore there is absolutely no reason at all to run logi except to spam. in which case you can now spam better than ever before and switch out to a commando medic to fill in the gaps for much less than running logi suits. kind of makes logis pointless as far as i'm concerned. my entire role has been made pointless. start game in a scout suit with uplinks. die or change out to commando with proto hives die or change out into a commando with a rep tool i can die in all 3 of those suits for the price of my logi carrying the same equipment yet i can get far more kills and survive for a hell of alot longer than a logi suit can with any of them. And this means that another non-dedicated logi has been filtered out. Logibro for life, and this is a suit (currently Minmatar) that is in no way obsolete, granted the proto can get expensive, however just running my advanced suit, my equipment being adv needle, Viziam flux link, Six Kin triage repair tool, I was able to bump my wallet today alone (no pc earnings) by 4 mil. isk. Let the blues and greens occasionally carry their own damn bullets, that **** gets expensive carrying all four items. A little advice for the rest of you aspiring logibros. -Don't screw with the core focused anymore, the reward no longer out weigh the risks e.g. suits losing some of their survivability and and the total reps being reduced, having to be that close anymore just isn't worth it if you don't have the staying power we used to. (CCP please give some kind of damage resistance or passive reps to someone using the rep tool, wishful thinking I know but... pretty please? -Advanced (dropsuit) is good enough for almost any pub match. use to equipment I mentioned earlier with your min logi and you should be golden (Viziam Flux Up-link, 50% or 80% injector never use the 30%, and Six Kin Triage or Republic Boundless Repair tool), but NEVER drop a link just to farm points, all you are doing at that point is giving logis a bad name, if your link turns bad drop two in a new SAFE location because a bad link is YOUR(the logis) fault, and trust me, you will get more point from a good link than a bad one. -A logibros hierarchy of priorities are as follows, 1. Your heavy, never let off the reps without telling them (or closest thing to it, though it ALWAYS has to be armors tanked to some degree, armor is teamwork, shields are just flying a big 'ol F U to a logi) 2. Your squadmates 3. Links 4. People that need revived (you can revive more people by having your weapon (your heavy) kill all the enemies) 5. Hacking, a logibro is not a hacker, a logibro is a wielder of a sentient weapons, act like it. -!!! MOST IMPORTANT !!! A MIC AND A HEAVY THAT CAN AT LEAST HEAR YOU. Talk to your heavy, if reps are up tell the people BY NAME that they are "up" meaning reps up, if you drop reps or are about to TELL THEM, if you see an enemy close TELL THEM USING THEIR DIRECTIONS e.g. "Red behind the box to >your< left" "scout behind you, I'm down, no reps". -Treat bullets like what they are, something that should be hitting cover and not you, learn to crouch, learn your cover, and learn how to rep from all those locations. I'm here to drop links and rep bitches, and I'm just about outta links.

I can fit a nice solid Logi A/1 for about 40-60k, depending on what I'm doing with it, and be quite effective. You can run that in pubs all day long at a reasonable profit. I run it in Amarr FW too, I die more but whatever. Logi is still viable, you just need to be smarter with your fittings and even more oblivious to your KDR than in the past.
