It can't be cloaks or scanners because sentinels don't have equipment. Not sure if they were meaning to give this tag to all of the suits but forgot to put it on the old one or what...but all I know is that whenever I see one I know it's either a scout or a heavy. You're an idiot. If it was to indicate direction, why would some players appear with it and others not? Also, how does it indicate direction when it's not the tip that faces forward, it's the convex side! What Shayz points out seems to be the most probable explanation so far but i can't see any logical reason for CCP to have different chevrons for the new suits, most likely it's a bug and the new suits aren't displaying the chevron properly. Rightio. His point, if I take it correctly, is that the directional reference of the chevron is a given. That was noted back on page one. Directional indication is not the question of the thread. Yeah, it's part of it, but that part was easily determined already. The back and forth is in wondering why it exists for seemingly selective players/suits/fittings. Of COURSE it's showing direction, but is it doing this for ALL suits? Just the new ones? Just scanners? Just passive scans? Just LoS? Elevation relative to your position? etc. etc. etc... If it's JUST new suits, then what is the significance of that other than a bug? Is there more to it than that? Are we chasing men in black and crazy lights in the sky? Working as intended? The last two kats replying to you were trying to discuss beyond the obvious. Throwing insults in the middle of a conversation to state the obvious is the cause of daft.
