Oh wow appearently heavys are "OP" according to the devs. Why such a sudden change of heart? We are living for months with godmode tanks/derpships but now appearently the heavy seems OP. If they "hotfix" heavys tomorrow then why cant they "hotfix" AV and vehicles the same way? Im sick and tired of CCP saying what is OP or not. How about we just go on like we used to do and wait for the people to complain on the forum? And nerfing heavy suits would make the basic frames literally useless. Instead of cutting HP why not just reduce the skill bonuses ?
I shall show you a world, a world which you cant imagine, a world full off butthurt n00bs at the other end of my gun

There is no reason for this. I was running around in the toughest suit in this game, Sentinel ak.0 and guess what killed me? A PROTO RAIL RIFLE.
Guess heavies aren't feeling the relief of an across the board rifle nerf
CCP really needs to stop being a bunch of corporate string pullers who don't even sit down to play their own game.

You know something is wrong when a suit has more health than a vehicle. Blame CCP for making Brick tanking the only viable fit.
Non brick tanked heavies just melt, hell, even brick tanked they still melt pretty fast since you have to be bad to miss them. I still wish armor repairs weren't the most useless modules since I skilled into them back when they were halfway useful and plates were garbage. Now I'm left out in the cold because lol active reps. Go brick or go home, even MORE so if they nerf heavies.

i like heavies as they are now, very challenging and makes you think before you rush in and try to run and gun. A heavy is ment to be placed on an objective and help hold it as a last man standing. To nerf them now would be a shame :C |

You know what's sad, my old pal Disturbingly Bored? Even dedicated scouts and medium suit users are crying foul on this "nerf da heaviez" crap.
You know it's BS when that happens. |

CCP Logibro wrote:Tanks will also be getting a hot fix, but we haven't nailed down exactly how it will be presented, hence why it's not in the hotfix post yet. Stay turned, and it will get added once we've decided how we want to do it.
They notice that there will be an issue with the eHP values of the heavies and they pinpoint the issue in a matter of days while tanks have been an issue (at the very least) since 2014.01.04 and they still haven't found a solution

Personally I went against heavies and it was ok until I met 3 Ak.0 sentinels with 1600HP!!!! They can take prototype forge gun shots and survive, and that's not right. I think they shouldn't modify the base stats or the skll bonuses, just give them the same number of slots than commandos, I've never understood why sentinels have more slots than commando. |

I would have reduced the slots to same as commando (like you mentioned) and cut the lower of the 2 racial weapon resistances. But heavies do need a little nerf.
So what I don't understand about this thread, is it QQ about tanks not being nerfed/AV not being buffed yet or QQ about heavies getting nerfed?
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

You know something is wrong when a suit has more health than a vehicle. Vehicles have resistances to most everything in the game. Hardeners while active cover the rest. Please explain how Heavies have more health?

Heavies are fine the only problem I have is the HMG it melts all frames in about the same time, that is it. Heavy suits themselves are fine. (I reserve judgement on a tweak to reptools, they might need an overheat or limit on how long/many that can be on someone.) Also it seems like they didn't touch rifles at all; TTK is unchanged and AR is still outclassed at all ranges.
