Prepare for the cloak wars. 1) It should be basic rule for all frames to level up all scanning skills. That's why it's connected to a Core Skill. Unless you have the huge bonus applied by Precision Enhancement skills (which you don't if you aren't scanning anyone), don't say Precision Enhancement can't scan anyone. 2) ALong with Precision Enhancement, get Range Amplifiers. The base range for all suits is 10m. Not very much. I forget what the range is when the skill is maxed, but it's decent. 3) Remember that if Heavies have a cloak, they don't have much else besides that and their gun. Cloaks apparently have LOADS of CPU/PG requirements, and when they're fit on Scouts, the Scout automatically reduces those requirements. I personally think they should have gone the route that Exploration Ships (Basically Scanner Scouts) went in EVE. Cloaks have tons and tons and tons of CPU (to the point where you can't fit them on anything without sacrificing all of your modules and a sidearm...), but the Scout Suit has a 100% CPU reduction on Cloaks. No because sentinels dont have equipment and commandos dont have more hp then tanked medium suits. Blood flows. Death comes. War rages Maths is OP. Those numbers kill you RedLineLove

First one I saw standing in front of me by a few yards and shot at them. They got away. The third one I saw standing still waiting for another player and I shot him a few times then headshot. Can't tell how I feel about others using it, yet. But I AM upset about something else not related to this.

I posted this entry after testing a gallente scout with x3 complex range amplifiers and x2 complex precision enhancers. It goes without saying lvl 5 precision enhancement and range amplification. .

My screen is about 10 feet diag, so I don't think that is the problem. With all of the rubber banding, jagged terrain glitches and lag, invisibility is difficult to detect without TACNET. .

I'm uploading the footage of it now to my channel. maybe this thing will work better in skirmish i dunno.

I hate to be -that guy- but to fight an invisible opponent, one must be invisible himself. Stealth Tank, Cloak, and soon you're going to find a loner that needs to recharge his cloak. You could also get a G-Logi in your squad that has a Scanner. Id have to agree, while I have not gotten my hands on the update yet, it seems like the tactic of cloaking is easy to use, but it is hard for you to remember about cloaks just yet, give it time, keep your eyes peeled, and use those nades well. I like the idea, makes it harder for squads to just run and gun, you now need to think to win Pilot // Logistics

Balancing factors -Requires LvL 4 or 5 in scout to not totally gimp your fitting, even for scouts! -Cloaked enemies are still visible, EVEN WHEN STANDING STILL. It is not perfect invisibility -Moving slowly causes the distortion to increase -A running cloaked opponent is very visible and hits on a cloaked target increase the visibility -Switching to another equipment or weapon is not instant and the cloak drops completely before you are able to deploy the equipment or start firing. -Cloaking takes 2 or 3 seconds, and cloaking is not a solution for a straight up firefight. However, It does enable skirmish scouts to play their role more effectively. I found myself using it to pick the best moment to flank an opponent, or to disengage from a fight and reposition for another flank. It takes a lot of skill to use effectively, but when done right can be an amazing asset to the skirmish/scout role. It does require you to pay more attention to the screen and less attention to the TACNET, which I think is a good change.
