Correct, they can't please everyone. The people who don't like the changes will leave. No problem. CCP should implement a test server to help transition people to the new game components, and determine user approval prior to a release.

Sony doesn't trust CCPs coding abilities enough to grant them a test server.

guys i just round around in a dom game wearing the cloak, and so far this thing feels like garbage. when i move around with this thing switched on i actually feel even more noticeable then usual, like a dude with giant target on him. very first thing that happened in this game was a guy with a laser taking me down from about 150m out. went 6/9 and I don't think most of the kills i did make had much to do with the cloak. I'm uploading the footage of it now to my channel. maybe this thing will work better in skirmish i dunno. |

Unfortunatly they cant inplement a test server, they already jump through enough hoops from sony just to connect to tranquility, would be even worse if they wanted sisi as well. |

I hate to be -that guy- but to fight an invisible opponent, one must be invisible himself. Stealth Tank, Cloak, and soon you're going to find a loner that needs to recharge his cloak.
You could also get a G-Logi in your squad that has a Scanner. With the coming of cloaks and uprising of Scouts, you need to start building squads dedicated not to killing, but you now need Electronic Warfare, Anti-Scouts, etc.

Id have to agree, while I have not gotten my hands on the update yet, it seems like the tactic of cloaking is easy to use, but it is hard for you to remember about cloaks just yet, give it time, keep your eyes peeled, and use those nades well.
I like the idea, makes it harder for squads to just run and gun, you now need to think to win

1 - they are hard to spot
2 - my experience so far with the people running them is that they don't run any dampening at all besides the cloak so once the decloak they light up like a Christmas tree and then I shred them.
Your reliance on the mini-map just showing that's all.

The only thing you should fear are the veteran scouts that are using cloak devices. They will be smarter with its use to ensure they get the jump on their target. The other ninnies running around like idiots thinking they are invisible the whole time will die easily enough. Good Hunting!  |

The prevalence of cloaking should start to go down soon. It's a new equip, so everyone is trying it out. Just wait. Either most will stop, or it will be needed into uselessness

I'm still testing the cloak, but after a couple of matches, I say it feels very well balanced.
Balancing factors
-Requires LvL 4 or 5 in scout to not totally gimp your fitting, even for scouts!
-Cloaked enemies are still visible, EVEN WHEN STANDING STILL. It is not perfect invisibility
-Moving slowly causes the distortion to increase
-A running cloaked opponent is very visible and hits on a cloaked target increase the visibility
-Switching to another equipment or weapon is not instant and the cloak drops completely before you are able to deploy the equipment or start firing.
-Cloaking takes 2 or 3 seconds, and cloaking is not a solution for a straight up firefight.
However,
It does enable skirmish scouts to play their role more effectively. I found myself using it to pick the best moment to flank an opponent, or to disengage from a fight and reposition for another flank. It takes a lot of skill to use effectively, but when done right can be an amazing asset to the skirmish/scout role.
It does require you to pay more attention to the screen and less attention to the TACNET, which I think is a good change.
