Not, and I repeat, NOT aim assist.
It's the speed reduction on hit.
That's a stupid mechanic that HAS TO GO RIGHT NOW, like tomorrow, in a hotfix, gone, nobody will miss it. It gives high fire rate weaponry too much of an advantage, it makes it so that a single hit means your speedy suit is dead.
HMG, Combat Rifle, Assault Combat Rifle, they all become absurd when this mechanic is brought in.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I'd say it's more in line with your guy box becoming bigger as you run and the bullet magnetism that pulls bullets to your body.
If it weren't for those 2 factors, Minmatar suits would have a interesting use on the battle field and be ultimate flanker suits.

It's fine. It means the counter to speed tanking is high RoF weapons. The Assault variants of what are out there are like he equivalent of better tracking weapons in eve. Better RoF means slower targets but typically less accuracy and dps. |

While I do have a lot to say about aim assist I totally agree! The speed slow down when you are hit is a total pain in the ass and I honestly don't see why we need it.
Lets campaign to get it removed! It helps all of us, but most of all it helps scouts.

While we are on the topic of bugs and such how about the ORANGE REPAIR GLOW! CCP devs said they knew it had been removed unintentionally, is it coming back?
See now that's what the patch notes are meant to tell us but you know CCP patch notes are just copy past 5 min jobs of stuff other devs already typed out....

About as realistic as falling through the surface of the planet, getting stuck when the incline of the ground changes, and mercenaries in several hundred pounds of armor warping out of tanks and jeeps.

Bleh. I kinda like it but I prefer it only on the HMG. Makes sense that a wad of bullets would really slow me down.

It's a broken mechanic as it kills speed tanking, nothing should have it.

If high ROF weapons have this mechanic, they need to have lower DPS to compensate.

That implies running faster than the current tracking speed IE broken BS To me though the problem really lies in map design, theres no popping in and out of air ducts and narrow passages the other suits cant fit into for a scout and something like that would really shake up encounters

I can support this motion. Even VALVE had trouble working out a 'slow' mechanic for TF2. They completely abandoned it for the Shortstop (and therefore killed the pun) and it took years to get the Natascha to even work at all (eventually leveling the slow Damage per Distance with an equivalent damage debuff). At the start the damn thing had 'tractor beams' which felt like horrible lag, and even now the gun is still being nerfed and buffed. Just two weeks ago, the second oldest weapon in the ENTIRETY OF TF2 was buffed.
Because PvP slow is hard to do RIGHT.
