brick tanked scouts :P
minmatar and caldari can get 700+ HP
amaar and gallante can get 900+ HP
Scouts will be able to use the cloak in place of speed to maintain positional advantage and get the bonus of first strike.
the ability to be invisable and unscannable with the cloak means the scout can pick and choose its battles and always ensure it comes out on top.
brick tanked scouts will be the ultimate FOTM fit of 1.8

Yes, because every sane assault will get rid of the assault suit and spec into scout. Why spec into a med suit and put on profile dampeners in the lows, when you can just get a complex one for free on the gal scout, while having faster speed and more fitting space.
I will spec back into assaults at a later time, when they are viable again (and I have collected SP for it)

Having high HP won't mean much if they can't, you know, do high damage. 1.8, because of the changes to both Prof. and the damage mod decreases, will mark when the stress of "choose your targets" becomes higher.

the best thing about these fits is you can replace plates with dampeners as nessesary.
that and you would have to make sure you get the kill in before they turn around, becuase with that HP advantage things could get messy.
a brick tanked caldari scout however now THATS scary. |

We'll see how things play out once 1.8 hits, but I'm thinking plate stacked scout suits depending on cloak will be very surprised when they get shotgunned from behind while invisible. Not only could a Cal scout get the drop on you, but your gun isn't even out. Should be fairly easy to get in two shotgun shots on such a target. |

Brick tanked invisible scouts will be quite popular hopefully my idea of a lightly tanked speedier and invisible for longer scout is not as bad as it appears compared to just brick tanking them but some how I think it will be.

It should be an EWAR comms disruption equipment that causes proxy chat it should overrule what ever channel they are in and maybe have a snooping version as well if you can stay close enough to an enemy, but sneaking up behind an enemy and shouting BOO is always a good laugh lol.
