There are a group of mercs in MH that flock to whatever the next big corp is. That is perfectly acceptable, as we are independent mercenaries. However, without corporation loyalty, aren't you setting yourself up to be black-listed? How many places can you jump to before people don't want you in their corp because you won't stick around when times get slightly rough.
I've seen Teamplayers balloon at the height of their power... where are those mercs now? People jumped off the 0.H ship after the war with AE... People are jumping off the AE ship because they think that FA might overcome AE, etc. etc. etc...
Some merc stay in their corp, but contract out as ringers (snugglez is a great example). If you're recruiting or in charge of Corp Apps, do you not ask yourself "Why did this guy leave his last corp?" I know I sure do, because I don't want to spend time investing a gameplan around some mercs only to have them jump ship when the boat gets rocked by a wave.
Every corp has their core of players that'll never leave. But having a core of maybe 10-20 players isn't enough to become viable in MH.

Lol, every corp has their fair share of losses. FA has lost a few members too.
Whatever, it's a loyalty check. People who are here for the wrong reasons will back out when things get tough. If you're loyal to your corp, you wouldn't leave when you start losing or morale is down. |

That's why I stress loyalty and brotherhood in SVER. Building a successful long term corp that can survive hardship requires more then just loyalty to a name. It requires a feeling of belonging. If you can achieve this the losses won't matter as much but as we all know. People always want to be in the cool kids club.

I've been in IMPs TP and AE the other 3 have been a shared corp.. CEO or co CEO.. I left Imps because when I came back they were all gone and TP offered me a home shortly after TP mostly quit so I made my own corp which fell apart when my bro and I went to ps4.. I returned and was offered a spot in AE, I've been friends with marauder and rampage for a long time so I accepted. Sota and I planned on making a corp together since Imps left so it shouldn't be a shocker that that's what I've been doing lately. Am I a corp hopper? Yeah I guess you could say I am. Did I do it for the power? No. I just wanted to put my story out there, not like anyone gives a **** though.

I never lost my loyalty to BBW. 1. In BBW, we have bounties on one another. We fight each other as often as we can. It encouraged actually. Probably the only corp that q-syncs more to fight each other, than with each other...
2. I was kicked from 0.H, but brought BBW with me to PCs. No hard feelings.
3. CA LLC.... nickmunson.... see how long you can last in that corp with him! Its hard man, really hard!
4. I left DDB because well, the people I joined for all left after I got there, they locked their districts, and they well... s*cked.
I decided that I'll just stay in BBW and use my experience to help the new alliance. BBW is like family to me. In fact I would squad with them way more than any other corp I was in at any moment. If it weren't for the people of BBW (and some that left, but I still play with) I'd would have quit this game a long time ago.

The ballooning you speak of was a temporary measure for the FEC war. We hired a few hands to help us out. The majority of those players are still with us in Negative-Feedback. A good number of our team are playing FF14 on the Courel server together. There are very few who we have truly lost. |

I've never left a corp without a good reason. I can explain every one of my corp hops.
Each time the corp has either ceased to exist, ceased to be active for several weeks straight, had a language barrier that was too inconvenient to deal with (lol will know which one when you see it), or I swapped over to an alliance corp that was getting slammed in PC and wanted to help out without dealing with asking around for timers to ring.
One time I applied to Red Star but my old CEO of AI told me to go to arrogance, so I ended up getting accepted to Red Star without being able to withdraw my app, then immediately accepted into arrogance. Wasn't exactly a corp hop I suppose. When I left 0H, that was because they pissed me off royally. The last one was due to AE changing their name.
I dont think I need to explain myself for leaving PRO...
I have an ego?! O.O

And well played avoiding every single one of my HMG bullets point blank at the top of those stairs in whatever PC that was the other day. Besides a little lag, I actually don't want to know how you did that lol. |

I believe in the loyalty that people have towards other people and not disclosing sensitive information from your latter employer to other groups/corporations. Therefore, corporate loyalty is a mere illusion for those directors who expect people to remain in their corporation.

Being a land holder and playing with same people every single day gets old. OH and AE are great corps and I enjoy playing with them but I like variety. Nothing against them I just like to merc myself out. N-F was inactive for a while that is the only reason I left IMPs and TP. Honestly I loved every corp I was in but N-F is family. We have an unspoken chemistry.
Every good corp should join N-F and ring for indie corps who control PC. We would be rich and have all the fights we want. Just my opinion. Holding land and playing 8 hours a day always causes drama. Leave that to the indie corps. Mercing is the way to go! |

Have to agree crimson
NF is and always will be a merc corp. We treat every corp as possible client and every merc as potential employee. A persons corp tag/alliance/corp history doesn't mean anything to us. Show up, do your job, get paid, then go play better game then dust.
Though I disagree that we dont need all good corps in NF because we want good fights. I'm happy to have enough an active roster to fill contracts

not true. imps only had about 20 some members and did what corps with 100's of ppl do. pfbhz did the same as a small corp until they started open recruit. and so has many others. as far as loyalty goes that right there my friend is one of this games problems there is no loyalty when it comes to isk or aka money. in real life its the same way. politics is usually what lets players know that there will always be another corp to flock to once sh!t dries out in your corp or something bad happens. forums is the answer to all this chaos . |
