Why is this possible? My logi build costs 12 million SP and 254k ISk to run, and he spent at most 50k SP and 610 ISK. I'm spending about 200x more ISK and 240,000x more SP than him, so there's no way he should be able to solo me. These Shotguns need to be nerfed. Someone who didn't even spend half of the ISK or SP that I spent should not be able to solo me. But honestly, I think the problem is not in only in the shotguns themselves, but in the gap between starter fits and proto not being wide enough. This urgently requires the usual balance pass from CCP, that should 1. Buff proto suits. 2. Nerf starter suits. 3. Nerf to the shotgun damage, range and rof, just to be sure. 4. Nerf to AV if tanks are OP, nerf to tanks if AV is OP.

With the higher risk involved in trying to get close to the enemy just to land an effective shotgun hit, the weapon must stay as it is. Shotguns as compared to other weapons aren't exactly consistent in performance especially when distance is involved. Why not ask your opponent for a rematch, you were probably distracted allowing him to close in and land a good hit.

I had Sidearm Sharpshooter at 5. Whatever the bug that had "Militia shotgun blueprint," in the kill-feed just rubbed it in. Currently shotguns are high-alpha no range weapons. That seems pretty fair to me. If it was felt those traits weren't best for close quarters room clearing then a rebalance could be done. Give them more range, ammo, and/or ROF in exchange for lower raw damage. I'm not even sure they'll be as scary in Uprising 1.8 since they'll suck against any shields and complex damage mods are facing Teiricide. Here, have some candy and a Like. :-) Forums > Game

Also I hate them as well but all my complaints are being fixed in 1.8 so grenades can't just be spammed. With AV grenades however they can't even chase off a tank with 3 much less 2, that don't refil unless at a supply depo mind you, and forget it if the tank has reps or a hardener.
