Currently we have little to go on when it comes to pirate factions other than we fight for them in public matches. I feel that we could be doing a lot more with them. I could imagine we run missions with them and lose standing for the factions we're committing these acts on. I could also imagine that pirate contracts would be of a much higher difficulty level than other contracts as well.
I would love to see a blood paint job on a suit and I would like it more if the suit was different than the standard. I have a blood legion suit, after work I will see if I can find a picture of it for you.
Frick, we have those? I'd love to see it.

Blood Raider Suit
I am a bit of a collector in these types of games so I try to pickup these kinds of suits when they are offered. |

I was expecting some actual splashes of red but this isn't bad, it's actually pretty lol.

Would be pretty cool if done like EVE faction ships but for suits and vehicles(when they do fully come out)
Needing Minmatar Assault 5 and Gallente Assault 5 to get into a Serpentis Assault Dropsuit.
Then the Sansha, Blood raiders, Angels and Guristias option aswell.
Could be really cool for end game content. |

And I didn't really think of us being able to join pirate factions... That brings a lot more ideas into my head. Aside from the role play aspect, I can imagine that pirate factions would give you plenty risk but lots of reward. Oh and also that being a pirate essentially bars you from High Sec space entirely, especially the larger trade hubs. So you would have the consequence of not being able to operate in Empire space at all. Yeah, I think the penalty might be a problem considering that the majority of the players in Dust don't really know about the complicated side of New Eden. If there was some type of clean slate system where you could start off with a clean slate but at a major cost, it would be fine.
Lol quite a few don't even know what eve is. They should be taught as they watch their clone grow in a tank.

Indeed you bring up a fantastic point.
Most people don't know or care what EVE is.
And they need to. EVE/ Dust Link however small it is now, is a core feature of the game, understanding that these mercs you are shooting are within EVE is crucial to the games atmosphere.
Dust should convey with each battle a wider context, when you go into ambush you actually are ambushing, perhaps and initial deployment scheme could create that idea, or a contextual voice over pre battle as you fade in from a back screen.
Perhaps when you play a skirmish match you feel as though, yes this entire battle is one small skirmish of a planetary invasion force.
Its small details like this which could really spice up and make gameplay that extra bit more impressive.

Agreed, but some of them don't want depth. They want a lobby shooter lol. Had some guy tell me eve is a lesser game and that the dust community shouldn't have to cater to eve players who can't handle shooter mechanics.
Something has to be done. They're just downloading the game because it's free, picking a random race based on a short video and have no idea what they're getting into. This game needs a proper intro imo that can't be skipped. Like the butterfly effect trailer from eve.
explain the eve gate, the races, the way the world works, introducing the new technology that makes us possible as an immortal soldier and introducing them to a small group of players, they squad up, move onto another march within a Corp into am alliance conflict with eve support supporting you as you fight to capture a planet. The whole sandbox, ripple flowing outward affecting everyone schtick. |

I feel like it'd be a lot easier for a low security status Merc to enter High sec since we can just ship our undeployed clones and equipment then have our consciousness transferred. That and Eve Pilots could smuggle us like they do Drugs and other illegal trade goods.

Brotherhood I personally never got to finish Brotherhood so I'll have to stick with Orignal since it's the only one I've seen all the way through. Which is my favorite anime by far.
Also you got the Theme song stuck in my head, not sure which one.

I like how a thread about Pirate Factions got changed to FMA next up is Dark Souls 2. Which is pulling my soul away from Dust, twisting it and then molding me into a Dark Souls 2 fan for the rest of time.

It's the 'Covenant' C-I.
Came with the Veteran pack as well as a 'Covenant' Sniper Rifle and a 'Blood Raiders' Saga.
Which is practically identical to the Ishukone Watch one.
