As of right now, passive scans are shared with squad. I confirmed it with my squad last night. There is no doubt they can see the red dots my suit picks up. The only difference is that I think while the red dots more slowly fade on my screen, I think they more likely flicker off on theirs. So its kind of seems like the broadcasting scout can 'see more' if they are moving around and may accidentally blind their team to dots that appear then disappear.
I also run a passive scan suit and according to my squad, they only see my scan results if they are within scan range of me - did you find this the case, or was your squad able to passively see the enemies you saw, even when your squadmates were across the map? |

We should get multi-racial scout squads going.
Gallente scout will be the broad precision, high range scout, to detect the bulk of the enemy team. Caldari scout will be the sharp precision, lower range scout, mainly to detect flanking scouts. Minmatar scout will be the hacker and designated heavy assassin. Amarr scout will be the bait. |

I've been meaning to check this with my alt, who also has scout 5 and precision/range amp 5. I'll try it tonight if I remember :) |

Yeah, it's passive. I'll test it tonight to see if it's limited by range from the person doing the scanning.
I've been trying to keep a lid on it though, since shared passive scans are very useful as a well-kept secret ;)
What my squadmates have confirmed is that they don't see my passively lit-up enemies when trying to drop an OB, so in that regard active scanning is better. |
