Look at your fuckin starter fits CCP. Ive got 130 armor,170 shield, and a militia AR. I'm going up against heavies with 750 shield and 1000 armor. I can fuckin LAY into them with an entire clip, and if they turn around and EVEN SNEEZE at me I'm dead quicker then I can blink. You wanna know why your game is trash? Because theres 8 of these heavies rolling around in a goddamn pack while my team is spead out over a mile wide map thats a barren fuckin wasteland with 1980s graphics. Meanwhile don't forget the fuckin tanks. Your "anti armor" fit with 6 rockets can even kill a fuckin jeep or a turret let alone a goddamn tank that can easily sponge all 6 shots without even a goddamn hardener, and again, kill you with a fuckin sneeze. You want new players? Perhaps you are meant to join into 6 man teams (I haven't decided what to call them yet) and coordinate your attacks; effectively increasing your power through tactics. A lot of people are going to take this chance to ridicule you, but I understand why you're upset. The starter fits are pretty useless against enemies playing in a squad, and the game in general has a steep learning curve for new players. If you do choose to play this game again I have some advice... Try to join an active corp, fast. Don't play Ambush yet. You don't have the killing capacity for this deathmatch mode. Play Domination or better yet, Skirmish and just defend objectives. It's more active defending a lone, quiet objective than you would think, and you won't get caught off guard because the enemy is coming to you. Don't bother with heavies unless you Flux grenade them (destroys shields instantly), remote explosive them as they come around a corner, shotgun them from behind, or have back up. Don't atack them from the front. Fighting a heavy requires more srategy than fighting AS a heavy. Heavies are easy mode, I don't care what anyone says. If you have a hard time playing as a heavy, then you suck at life, and probably can't play as anything. 100% Tactical Scout Corporation

I'll never play this trash again. if you were new i'd suggest spending 100k sp on getting remotes, you'll cost a lot of proto's their gear for that minor investment.

I grabbed an Amarr militia heavy suit, militia forge gun, and kill those heavies in a few charged shots. It's not perfect, but it works well enough. Once I get a better Mic, I'll join squads. Yet if i can enjoy the game and kill heavies, I doubt others should,have that much of a problem. And when I get on tonight, i'll have enough skill points for amarr heavy dropsuit 1 and enough to unlock the machine gun. and in all honesty, even getting killed several times per match, i still make enough isk to profite.

When militia guns can barely scratch the shields of some suits and they turn their pro gear on you with complex damage mods you have no chance against it. Tiered gear in a match that does not support the tiers will lead to this sort of thing from happening. PC is a twisted parody allowing unless farming of ISK and WP/SP. FW doesn't feel like you're actually doing anything as there is no in game lore to support those battles. So all people really have is just rolling through public matches in 6-12 man teams in pro gear. My suggestion is not a popular one to split the match making militia/std and adv/pro. Can't take a fitting into those matches if it falls outside the meta range. Once all factors of gear have been removed then it comes down to the skill of the players. You can say team work is OP but when those newer players squad up those pro guns still cut them down even before they get close to coordinate with each other to bring down those proto heavies. But I've had these discussions before and anything that removes a veteran players edge is frowned on. Why do you think Eve has remained relatively unchanged? CCP cannot make changes to the game because their veteran players do not want their edge taken away. The same is becoming of Dust.

It's unfortunate and bad design that these low level items are completely useless, and it's only magnified against squads. Even a damn good player won't stand a chance against real squads or random proto groups til he gets 700+EHP with a proto weapon on whatever suit. Your post is making me facepalm very hard right now.

Easy peasy Gallente starter fit + 3 militia plates. Thats 630 roughly( i can check but too lazy) with max skills. but he wont have enough SP to have any core upgrades, any proto weapon, or even the pg/cpu to fit the weapon. The main problem is that you need proficiencies or a proto rifle to get kills now, and having the 700+EHP helps you survive for 1 second to get a kill. But with a 500k SP character, you better have put all of it into a FOTM or you're totally f*ed. Your post is making me facepalm very hard right now.

Sees blueberries start to snipe... Pulls out commando suit with laser rifle and swarm launcher...

I don't believe in an eye for an eye... I believe in two eyes for an eye!

I downloaded a FPS to pla on my PS3, not a board game. The only reason I want other players is to give more challenging targets I get home at midnight, i dont want to be talking to my TV like a madman while people around me sleep. i dont want to have peoples breathing and complaining and useless chitchat in my ear. I have tons of friends in my everyday life, i come home for some alone time, not because i want to go online and find lonely people to hang out with. Squads are by far the worst part of the game. Not because the idea of teamwork sucks, but because they cant just give a mode where people can just join and play. A squad should be a luxury, not a necessity. Its like forcing you to spend time with a bunch of people you normally wouldnt. Kinda creepy in that regard. Believe it or not, but not everyone thinks a game with Aim Assist is a competitive game. if anything, any game where the PS3 does your aiming for you is casual. Why cant we have a casual, regular mode then?

Actually, I don't do too badly with my Militia frontline freebie fit. True I've got some SP invested that an actual new player wouldnGÇÖt, which helps, but not a huge amount. I'm at something like 11 or 12 million sp and most oft that has gone into scout suits and sniper rifles, or is spread out across two or three light weapons and two sidearms, plus various supports skills I took to try out modules which I decided don't suit my playstyle very well. I also run solo all the time and whilst my KDR and ranking aren't the highest, most of the time I can get into the top half of the leaderboard in a match, providing I get in at the beginning (which doesn't happen very often). I also know better than to try to solo tanks or take heavies straight on, because I know I'm not meant to be able to take them on on my own in the case of tanks, or straight on in the case of heavies because I'm not an OP one woman army. I'm part of a team of up to 16 players. Woman. Sniper, but from near the opponent's redline more often than not. Not a KDR Worshipper.

When i started it wasn't so unbalanced. I even started a Minmatar alt which i really enjoyed playing with. Now the lack of SP on it makes it really unvialble. You NEED a squad, good players to help you out, join a corp. Otherwise look for other games, Dust just isn't solo-friendly.

Matchmaking might end up splitting an already small community. PVE is at least a year off. I'd recommend playing something else, let your SP pile up and come back to a (hopefully) better game.
