I'm not quitting either, I just thought I'd point out that your game is still sht ccp. I got a ps4 and after playing bf4 its clear that you need to start working on getting dust on the ps4, while playing bf4 I can't help but think that dust would be amazing on the ps4. You could keep the graphics low as well so there can be more content and maybe even push 40 a side. I know planet side 2 is coming to ps4 but it'll getting boring quickly as theres no immersion. The fact you are laser focussed on the ps4 tells me that you have given up and will just a bits here and there or that Sony has you by the balls somewhere in your contract, sort it out. The tank issue alone is enough to ruin the fun of the game. Although i have found an alternative fun thing to do in Dust514. Sniping but not just regular plain old spine and kill. I tend to Snipe my opponent without killing them kind of like playing with my prey before the big kill. Besides that way they get mad and come at me and i get a bit of amusement when they try to sneak up on me or counter snipe :P

Dust has been going downhill since uprisings release. After Uprisings release the forums were a bad place, I'll never forget how CCP screwed up so badly.

Its simple really Dust was originally created as a propaganda tool for Eve Online. Now that more players have started playing Eve and even more sign up every day Dust isnt necessarily useful as an advertising tool anymore. So why bother putting it on the PS4 its done its job. Not to mention that yes putting it on the PS4 would be wasted why put an F2P on a console that forces you to pay to play ALL games they wont get any of that psplus cash so why bother. Also almost every single game company out there tends to slack off on repairing and improving a game thats online when they are trying to kill it. They cant very well shut the game off and tell everyone "sorry but this game is a failure we are done with it" now can they? No so they sit there toy with the gameplay making it unbearable to play instead.

Now paying PS+ subscription from DUST with ISK can be possible on PS4 but then agaion it will be able with the only game. not necessarily, games like blacklight and other titles don't require the ps+ subscriptions, the same thing could be done with dust, or some form of ingame subscription method like plex could be figured out. i honestly think dust needs better hardware, how many times have the devs said that they would love to do something but the hardware wasn't good enough to support it? switching to the ps4 would likely require dust to be taken down and for a whole new closed beta to test it, but if it leads to a better game it should be undertaken. it has to be said though, its not like a hardware upgrade will magical fix the game, the devs are slow on promised features and patches, probably due to a lack of manpower and experience (though that is one thing they've undoubtedly got more of the last year), and game balance is still in a place no one is happy with, eve offers the chance to escalate or retreat, dust doesn't. i respect CCP Shanghai for what they've done so far, and i've had some of my best time gaming on dust, hell i met up with L.O.T.I.S. and a bunch of people who are fun to play with on here, so you guys have the social bit down pat, but ultimately dust is just so infuriating to play, its a good game at times, it truly has its moment but for every good moment there's 5 bad ones, and no one can continually lose their stuff, which took a lot of time and effort to get to cheap, over powered game mechanics. dust has so much potential, but the execution so far has been lacking, i don't blame the devs for it, i think a lot of it is down to lack of manpower and inexperience and that if i come back a few years down the line the game will have come so far, but right now the game just makes me too angry to play. Assuming i dont decide to toy with them a bit first and just keep shooting them to watch them run or hide

Comparing to Chromosome, and how things might have been if they'd spent a year improving that instead, the progress... well... isn't.

I agree it's an improved lobby shooter, and that's the main problem. The battles are pointless, PC is laggy expensive skirmish, and FW well since they completely took the isk out I didn't play it very much when I was playing dust and besides the reward the FW battles are the same as pub skirmish battles. So overall it's just been the improved dull lobby shooter and yes I know you can have fun but it's just been too much of the same for me. I would rather sit snipe and enjoy my day while not losing isk and have the opportunity to play with my prey than sit there getting aggrivated over a game that just isnt really worth the aggrivation to begin with. But hey thats just me :P

BTW the above was edited thanks to the extremely limited space the PS3 onscreen keyborad alots you for typing. oh i know, but balance is something of a separate issue to upgrading to ps4, upgrading hardware would allow for bigger maps, more diverse maps, smoother framerates etc. as i said, upgrading to the ps4 is no magic fix but it could enable a huge range of quality of life features which would deal with quite a few complaints. that said it would be a huge undertaking and would require a huge amount of patience from the community. game balance is another issue entirely, right now i think the devs are trying to juggle too many things at once and those things are too diverse. i mean look at AV, there's light av and heavy av, trying to balance tanks agianst heavy av makes them too tanky agianst light av, balancing them against light av makes them too squishy to heavy av. we've seen what happens in the latter case, vehicle pilots feel their very expensive assets are basically free wp for av'ers and more than a few quit. when we balamce against heavy av however light av users feel their role is now worthless since they now get no wp income, since they can only damage not destroy vehicles. honeslty i know CCP makes efforts to fix these things but part of the problem is how long it takes updates to happen, when swarms were buffed in 1.4 we were promised a vehicle buff to compensate in 1.5 a month later, now one month is long enough as it is, it allows certain players to believe the current balance is the correct one (looking at you swarmers) but the vehcile buff didn't come till 1.7 3 whole months later. the problem is that ccp makes 1 change in one patch, then a change that balances out the 1st one on another patch, that however leaves a period of imbalance that provides ccp biased information and poisions the community with the same biased views, we think "swarms are this powerful against current tanks, hence they should be nerfed against new tanks", so come next update tanks (which previously might have been balanced against swarms before the biased data beget a nerf) get buffed and swarms get nerfed, now swarms just get shrugged off. it's like blams stupid idea to introduce AA tanks years before fighters would be introduced (thank god that idea got scrapped) it just leads to unnecessary nerfs and poisons the community's views on things. By releasing such an early build to the public they created a community that will demand new content from here to eternity because it will always "feel" beta. That being said, I'm really enjoying dust right now. I was getting angry because I kept dying for stupid reasons on my main and losing good equipment to tanks, so I made an alt (ayanami zero). It's brutally hard having next to no sp, and using only militia items, but once I stopped caring about dying, or risking isk, the game became fun again. Thale groupie
