If all those pictures are his work, then I like his work. I thought most of the designs that came out with the research facility release were good though. I was about to comment on the game "design" aspect of those, but I suppose that's somewhat separate from the art/modeling aspect.
In any case, I would've liked to see more/hear more about it. If he's not the type to wax nostalgic about his work, you know, a few more concept drawings with what he was thinking about when he did them, some rejected concepts, some current work, etc.
Dren and Templar equipment stats, wrong since release.

I was about to say, it would be nice to get pics of stuff that's not yet in game.. and the concept art behind it... other than that, it's good to see some dev blogs, even though they are a bit anemic. |

Hey CCP thanks for this. I love to see concept art and the design ideas behind it.
I would just ask if you can show us more in the future? That blog was great to see but it was a little short. I would love to see more of the art. Like others said, stuff that was rejected too. It would be really awesome to see the concepts evolve over time also.
So in closing, thanks for the blog, was great - I just wish we could have more to look at and hear more from the team. (More / Bigger blogs!)

I think that would be problematic considering how short the matches are... especially currently when one side gets always stomped.

Based on some of the designs, you'd think that a lot of these sockets would have some interaction points. Hacking consoles to open/close doors and gates, for instance. I'd say it's not so out of the realm of disbelief.

It usually takes more than one fight to flip a district. Also the rules can always be changed to allow for longer more sandbox style engagements.

Thanks CCP I always love to see the work being done by the art teams lets us know more in the way of how much work goes into getting these things in the game...
I wouldn't mind seeing maybe a revision count on one of the finished products, or even an hour count could be enlightening to a few of us. |

This was cool. I hope after things settle down for the art team (I'm sure they're working frantically right now to get everything for 1.8 ready), we could have a community Q & A for the art team like was done in the past. CCP would solicit questions in a thread, and pick the best 10 or so to ask in an interview.
I love seeing the concept art, really any of it is cool. The team is very talented. Looking forward to seeing new stuff soon as well.

Only if we could clone you art guys and get you all working 24/7. there lots of space to fill in a titan, Hopefully them art generators from WOD will translate well into the Dust development to assist you art guys.

Describing what your job's day-to-day is like, is not a devblog.
If you are doing an artist devblog, please post art.
If you are (trying) to discuss how buildings of a similar style are differentiated between the various races in New Eden, please show us how, (not in wording, mind) by showcasing them all next to each other.
If you are going to show us a concept building, please tell us why it was designed, what it's purpose is, what racial variant we're looking at, and when we can experience it in game.
TBH I feel like I am being trolled by every devblog you guys put out. I'm a massive fan of conceptual art and design, and bought the EVE:Source book the day it got announced which if I understand correctly does feature a lot of work from you guys. So kudos for that, but this blog has some things to desire.

I thought the artwork was quite good; that I have to admit. Was also neat to see the process behind it.
However I am rather confused here. There's enough time to post artwork on something, but no one anywhere has any time or availability to post about any suit changes to other racial suits that we already have with any stats whatsoever, or about upcoming technical fixes?

One thing that kinda stands out in my mind: why aren't their any weather phenomena on any planets? Seems like New Eden should be a resort hub. Factors such as visibility, wet terrain, & dangerous weather would give the game a bit of flavor. I'd love to see a tornado touch down randomly in a storming environment. I'm sure many would argue this would detract from the focus of warfare, but if you want a truly immersive play experience, you have to consider the hostility of nature. #snowbootsontheground
