Who will quit dust for good? I sincerely doubt people will go anywhere but who feels strongly enough to oppose this view? Sign if you will leave with no respec.
you know what I mean. Refund,refill, re allocate comments are unnecessary. We all get the point of this simple experiment.

Why wouldn't I? Why would I want to use something that I didn't choose to skill into?
I would only have my easymode tanks and even that gets boring at some point.

@CCP: Is the Cloaking Fields and Profile Dampeners reduction to Scan Profile stacking penalized when added together?

My main has 32 mill SP, 8.5 of which was wisely left unallocated. Because I specced into what I enjoyed using and not dumbass FotMs, 90% of my SP would go back exactly where it came from anyway. I am specced into Gal and Min logi and I intended to keep Gallogi and spec into Gal scout. I am 100% fine and dandy in all eventualities.

I'll probably quit and come back a year later (if the game still exists) when I got tons of SP from the passive bonus and spec into a Cal scout.

Quit Dust for good? No.
Quit Dust for an extended period of time? Probably, yes. I'd say 4 - 6 months is likely. Maybe by then we will know something about PvE

CCP knows nobody is going anywhere. Dust 514 is where mediocre fps-ers can be kings. Its where game mechanics and modes can be exploited so any who came here looking for competition look elsewhere. Its where the time you put in matters more than how good you are. We are hooked and they can do whatever they want.

I doubt I'd quit for good, I'm a dumb junky. I would however walk away from the habit for a few months before shamefully stumbling back down to the alley for another hit. |

I wouldn't, I got what I want, and I like the bonuses I'll be getting for my Amarr logi, and the bonus I'll be keeping for my Amarr assault. That being said, I wouldn't blame others for quitting, and I think the scope of these changes mean infantry deserve to get a respec, since the info they based their choices on to make informed decisions suddenly becomes changed and no longer true.

It wouldn't be enough on its own.
However I've already vowed never to spend money on the game, following (among other things) the recent vehicle BPO robbery.
That combined with my steadily dwindling hope for the game's future, and the rather daunting backlog of games I've yet to play.
No 1.8 respec after being a hacker logi for months, would seal my fate on this game.

The main specialization I want is already available so I'd probably still play, but I'd definitely riot with everyone else. Why would you want everyone specialized in all the same suits we've had for a year now instead of giving everyone the chance to properly respec into the core suits that should of been there from the beginning? And by properly I mean with a Dropsuit Upgrades respec as well so they can get the upgrades that best compliment their dropsuit.

Yes - they kinda did. If wanted to be a heavy and didn't want to be Amarr you're kinda hosed. Same with CalScout / AmarrScout. It's all about what's important to you and your game style.

While I respect that, I have just shy of 34 mil and I still need more. I enjoy a lot of things, a lot of weapons, and those B-E-A-utiful ADSs. I have a Proto Logi, Proto Assault, Proto Nano, Proto Reps, Proto Scanners (by drunken accident), most modules to proto, RRs, CRs, SLs, Scr, SRs, MDs all to proto with some levels of operation in all other light and sidearms. You are very particular in your play style if you have 8.5 mil sitting around. And, I still want to get my Scout suit.

So, other Logi's back off, those are my Warpoints!

At the very least I'd go back into hiatus for a long, long time. I don't care enough about DUST to grind out more SP just to try to spec into what I've wanted since beta.

I got what I want already. I don't mind keeping advanced swarms or advanced regulators. Every skill will come handy one day. It's only a matter of when.
Plus, I doubt I'll have enough SP to be proto Scout, advanced logistics, and basic Sentinel/Commando. For Gallente, of course. |

Ach respec or not ill still be grinding away on my infinite sp........ the only reason folks get uoset about nit having a respec is because they want the next fom as soon as possible simply to pad their ever so precious stats. So I guess what im saying **** it who acctually cares about respecs once you figure you have infinite sp it dosent really matter.

This is true and iv said in other threafs that all ds and wepons skills that are being changed should be refunded as when they changed all the vehicle skills I was refunded about 18mill sp that went strait back into my gunlogi and turret skills.

I have always been against respecs, paid for, free, yearly or whatever... The only time I have said a respec is in order was right now with the advent of suit parity. As I said in another thread though, if they then change the slot layouts in 1.9 then a respec means jack ****.
