I have no idea, really. I'm hoping my cal assault will become a more viable slayer, but really I'm just going to sit on about 3M points until 1.8 drops and play it by ear. |

PvE isn't on the cards for 1.8 - you'd think we would have mentioned it by now if it were :)
The lack of a Chinese forum is due to a couple of reasons:
- Console gamers are few and far between in China (trust me, I know :). This is because it's both difficult to get a console in mainland China, but also because it's tough to get around the firewall. There's a whole host of connectivity issues.
- We don't have any support staff for the sub-forum, although we could always poke around the office!

With 1.8 being a mojority of the main missing basic content, 1.9 needs to be working towards PvE and player run market. These are core features that brought many people here, and yet there has not even been a mention that pve and player run markets are being developed. Those two things will bring back vets, and many more noobs to fill our ranks. I really think you all at CCP are not understanding how important and powerful those two tools will be. They will finally definitively define Dust 514. Till then we are really just playing a placeholder shell of what this game could be.

In the same boat. My playtime in 1.7 has been cut in half, I only imagine the same in 1.8. Sitting on 3.5m unallocated, hopefully whatever I spec into next won't leave me with a nerfed suit and weapon again. |

FYI, I was previously playing in Shanghai, China, with hardly any connectivity issues on US servers, even with the GFW in place and not using a VPN to connect.
Second thing is, there is a decent console market here, even though there is a 'ban' on console sales through 'official' channels, you can very easily buy consoles on the gray market, vendors etc. with hardly any mark-up. Games are also plentiful, albeit most of them are HK versions.
Saying that I agree that there need not be Chinese forums seeing as how the population of Chinese speakers in this game isn't high enough to warrant the extra work needed to moderate, maintain and translate (I can read speak and write Chinese but there really isn't any need imo)
Will be getting on Dust once my PS3 ships to HK :) |

I don't know. Staying an equipment based Logi is going to get even more SP intensive with the need to skill three races to be nearly as effective as i am currently with one, while assaults will be even better at killing me. Besides, I'm getting tired of helping OCD sufferers who demand a pristinely clean battlefield with no equipment littering the ground.
I'd like to return to my first love which is dropship piloting, but the game still lacks any real purpose for standard ships and the ADS is over priced and a victim of redline rails. I'll wait and see what CCP does about it.
Maybe I'll just go FoTM. |

Yes, buy a VPN, I spend 70 RMB on it every momth, in order to update/watch Youtube, and play DUST. |

If there's a full respec - Leave tanks and re-invest in the Logi tree, probably Minmatar.
If infantry respec - Get my alt into a Logi suit.
If no respec at all - **** and moan on the forums until 1.9.

In all seriousness I'm likely to go Gallente Commando and a toss-up between Gallente Sentinel and Gallente Scout. I'm not sure yet. I have to see how they operate first.
