The lack of a Chinese forum is due to a couple of reasons:
- Console gamers are few and far between in China (trust me, I know :). This is because it's both difficult to get a console in mainland China, but also because it's tough to get around the firewall. There's a whole host of connectivity issues.
- We don't have any support staff for the sub-forum, although we could always poke around the office!
FYI, I was previously playing in Shanghai, China, with hardly any connectivity issues on US servers, even with the GFW in place and not using a VPN to connect.
Second thing is, there is a decent console market here, even though there is a 'ban' on console sales through 'official' channels, you can very easily buy consoles on the gray market, vendors etc. with hardly any mark-up. Games are also plentiful, albeit most of them are HK versions.
Saying that I agree that there need not be Chinese forums seeing as how the population of Chinese speakers in this game isn't high enough to warrant the extra work needed to moderate, maintain and translate (I can read speak and write Chinese but there really isn't any need imo)
Will be getting on Dust once my PS3 ships to HK :) |

How come DUST, a console FPS, is being designed in a country that ... oh it's starting to make sense now The Internet in china is heavily, Heavily, HEAVILY! Censored. Electronicly, they are the equivalent of hillbillies compared to the rest of the world. Way to go China. Way to get with the times.
